Having had a 1.5t petrol Cooper from new for almost 6 years I can say we are really impressed. The reliability has been faultless and we are going to go for 10 years ownership at least before we move on. The fact that since we bought it bmw now have this engine in lots of its brand new models shows it’s a great unit.

Excellent review. I just purchased a pre owned minis very similar to this as my daily driver (second car) and I absolutely LOVE IT!

I want one bad. Drove the 2015 which is identical, fell in love, and now have one on order. Mine only came to 28K with tons of bells and whistles and the full 7yr 100K mile bumper to bumper warranty. My old 2007 mini trade in will bring it down to 21K left to pay off. Being only 1 second slower I went with the non-S for insurance reasons but believe me, the drive is plenty thrilling and handling is fantastic. The comment they made about the arm rest I think misses the mark because they didn't point out that it has a setting where the arm rest lowers down supporting your arm in the perfect position to both shift as well as work the mini drive infotainment system. I got the high end 12 speaker harmon/kardon sound system, storage upgrade, mini drive system, panoramic moon roof, entertainment package, upgraded bluetooth connectivity and more. I keep going down and test driving the models similar to what I've ordered because I cannot believe how much fun it is to drive. I tested 4 cars when I thought about trading mine in and none of them came close to putting a smile on my face like the mini did when driving. Can't wait till it gets here.

The armrest is an optional extra.

Just bought the same mini as in the video for my first car with the sat nav etc, however put on a glass sun roof and full leather sports seats. I wanted it to look pretty nice and black and red is totally my color scheme and I'm 18 so it looks young and sporty. Can't wait to pick it up next week I just passed my test.

the idrive controller comes with the visual boast stereo and up. TLC now only covers Three years and up to 36,000 miles not the Five years and upto 50,000 that was available prior to January 2017 cars.

7 years on the design still looks contemporary and desirable. 2022 versions of the Gen3 are over styled and have lost the purity of design shown here.

Audi A1 looks dated compared to a mini.

This is a beautiful piece of design: a strong echo of the original with the benefits of modern technology. Yet, weirdly, I don't want one.

It looks really nice and I like the fact that they have a entertainment system placed in. But, the price is a bit high for a mini, could really just go for a Polo or Fiesta

Choosing A1 over this is a no brainer. Cabin qlty, sturdiness, road and wind insulation etc, much better than mini.
