When smoky days happen in the Pacific Northwest we decided to wrap my friends 2014 Ford Mustang.
Follow along and enjoy our process of wrapping this car. The video is time lapse but you can still see what we did to get this car wrapped and ready to show off.
We used the new 3m 2080 to wrap the car and it worked exceptionally well. it was very easy to work with!

I know it might seem like a waste of vinyl to do the rear quarter panel and the whole pillar in one piece if you aren’t laying vinyl in one price over the whole side, but it should definitely be done in one piece.

Thanks for the advice! This was my second car wrap and first mustang. Next time I do a mustang I will keep this in mind!

How much material did this take? Think 50ftx5 is enough?

It's hard to say how much material we used. To be safe I would get a full 25yd roll. Incase of mistakes of something of that nature. I think 50ft of wrap could work with no mistakes or wasted wrap.

Ok maybe you can help me out I have a 2012 mustang and I’m wanting to wrap my hood, trunk and roof only but I’m needing an idea of what size of roll of vinyl to go with I’ve seen many different sizes like 1ft x 5ft and 2ft x 5ft and so on but I don’t know the size of roll I need

I don't know exact amounts but what I would suggest doing since the surfaces are easier to measure. You can measure the length of all three surfaces in inches and divide that by 36 to get the amount in yards. Then add 2 or 3 yards in case you make a mistake.

you can get some double sided tape for the back of the emblem.

@@adamsmalleymedia3023 The wrap is already peeling off above the decklid, I see a huge bubble on the front bumper. The top of the doors look likes its peeling off, top of the rear bumper near passenger tailight is peeling. Its just not done professionally and doesn't look good

I'm curious to know more on what you mean I don't see any peeling or bubbles on the car. I would like it if you commented the time in the video where you see these marks. The bumpers do look bad ill give you that but we do plan to fix that in the future. And you are absolutely correct, its not professionally done its only the second car i have ever wrapped. @@adamsmalleymedia3023 Oh shoot. My bad then lmao I assumed cuz you guys were in a shop that you did wraps as part of your profession. The way you guys were explaining and went to work, it looked like you'd been doing wraps for awhile lol Thats actually pretty good for just getting started. Practice makes perfect!

No worries man we are in just in a warehouse to keep dust from outside off the car. Hopefully one day I can wrap cars professionally but for now it is for fun and learning. But thank you again for the feedback!! I appreciate all critics!
