wow! that is a very beautiful van! before the host said anything about the a/c resembling a jet, that's exactly what I was thinking when I saw the inside with the overhead storage. I love it. the host is handsome as well. *giggles*.

Best ProMaster I have seen yet and love the color, and I hope you consider the ProMaster City for your conversions also. With a diesel, you have the DEF fluid now -and that stuff can freeze at 12 Degrees F. = You will need to plug your diesel truck in at the colder temps.

jo b The RAM ProMaster is not currently available with a tilt steering column, but it is telescopic and moves in and out of the dash.

Paul Sherry Conversion Vans LOVE the exterior/paint/chrome wheels, and the rear electric sofa, along with large rear overhead storage. Could you add a few more amenities (i.e. side marine bath/shower combo behind the driver's seat, galley area/induction cookware countertop/sink/under counter fridge/microwave, and a compact wardrobe/storage behind the bath) to make this a sweet RV? (Obviously the large TV is pretty awesome, as is.) If so, any idea on price range (for aforementioned features)? I'd be interested in purchasing one, especially as an alternative to the MB Sprinter vans.

No radio controls on the steering? 110 outlet nice for laptop pc use, hdmi connectivity nice. No fold out table to place or use laptop. Not so nice. Overall very nice interior.

OOOOps Time: 4:13 States "Full Tilt and Telescoping Wheel", Great Van but it does not have a Tilt Steering Wheel. Nice conversion though! :-)

Wow this conversion is pretty awesome! I Am impressed by the pentastar engine and automatic gearbox. Sadly that is not sold in this configuration in Europe. We can choose only turbo diesel engine which is annoying. Vibration, loudness, more susceptibility to failure, potential problems with starting the engine in frosty winter days due to poor diesel... etc. V6 petrol engine is incomparably better! I think with LPG conversion it can be well salable in Europe. Nobody in Europe offer a big van with a high grade of comfort like this one. Good job!

Paul Sherry Conversion Vans But you could! And referencing Monsieur LeBreton earlier, the exterior has to project some kind of feigned sobriety. Le luxe on the inside of the van: great! But the more you earn in France you more you have to hide it. But the French love quality, the leather etc and power too but she can can't drink like an '84 Suburban 454! Ok, no carpet on the floor, vinyl easy to pull out and hose the mud from the fields yes? In the back, incorporate some bins for vegetables etc, fresh apples or, and you can't overlook this, bins that could be used for ducks, pheasant etc when I take my friends hunting on the estate. 4 wheel drive would be nice. This body style would easily incorporate in Europe, heck, it looks like the euro estafette. too bad about the turbo diesel I'll say that. We have a lot of Dodge in our stable here in CO, nothing like your van though Justin, very nice indeed.

@@turbotek-wj8vc You could also use one of the bins to contain the frog legs. Not sure, would it be best to keep the frog alive before you chopped off its legs and threw away the rest, or chop off their legs as you catch them?

What is with the European manufacturers selling their vans under different names in the US? Won't Americans buy them if they're called Mercedes Sprinter, Fiat Ducato etc? :)

Hello Gnawer Shreth, Lots of manufacturers take an existing vehicle and market it as a different vehicle in different countries. The reason why ultimately comes down to branding. Due to the expense of engineering and designing a new model or trying to establish a new brand, which can take years to gain acceptance, it is much less expensive to simply "rebadge" a vehicle that they already produce. In this case, Fiat Chrysler determined that this van would sell better in the United States with a RAM badge. For the American market, the RAM ProMaster received a few updates, not only in brand and appearance, but as an updated vehicle altogether. The chassis has been improved upon the Fiat Ducato's and a gasoline-powered 280-horsepower 3.6L Pentastar V6 was chosen as it's standard powerplant. A 3.0L EcoDiesel 4-cylinder is also available. I (as a french customer) prefer unconspicious van for everyday use, just light gray with standard black wheels. No chrome paint, biiiig wheels like those which are available on this van. Beside, the comfort which is given in this type of van in really interesting and looks good. Thx for the reply :o)

Lovely conversion, but why does the US take a vehicle the the rest of the world are driving with a efficient engine then stick a inefficient one in there? We are getting mid 30's mpg on this van in Europe. Worse still is the NV200 the rest of the world is enjoying 50mpg while you are getting half this with 25mpg! There are lots more examples.

Hello Robert Bell, I would not go so far as to say that the Pentastar V6 is an inefficient engine. It makes good power (284 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque) and gets good fuel economy (mid-20 MPG), even in the large ProMaster/Ducato chassis. It will only get better if Chrysler decides to make it direct-injection. The low-powered diesel engines that usually come in the Ducato are simply not enough for our roads and the intentions of the typical American operator. Also take note that the ProMaster has a higher payload and towing capacity than the Ducato, thus the extra power. The RAM ProMaster is also available with the 3.0L EcoDiesel. It's also a great engine that makes the ProMaster much more efficient, but the majority of customers are going to go for the gasoline engine.

Remember to take into account the significant size difference in the imperial gallon (4.546 L) used in Canada and the UK, compared to the US gallon (3.79 L) which make it appear the U.S. Vehicles are rated for much lower mpg. 2 vehicles with identical setups will be rated to get much better mpg in Canada then it's US counterpart because of this.
