Looks phenomenal. The STI spoiler surprisingly looks clean af & and the louvers look fantastic. If you ever decide to make louvers to sell, I am definitely buying.

I installed MGP caliper covers and painted them baby blue, it looks great with the contrast of the black rims. I highly recommend it since you're into DIYs

Another question, I have a lip like yours that I have been meaning to put on. Did you use 3M tape to mount it or just the self tapping screws?

I used the self tapping screws. Honestly its been fine so far, but I may add 3m tape too. At highway speeds it definitely pushes down on the bumper pretty good. I know some people have issues with the bumper latches by the wheel well.

I have the J2 as well. But mine isn't centered to the bumper is there anything different that you used to hang the tip?

Unfortunately the J2 brackets aren't exactly perfect by the muffler so when I had the shop weld on my bypass valve he added a new hanger to fix it. It should be pretty cheap for a shop to do or buy a hanger and weld on yourself. Prior to the new hanger I used metal cable tied underneath to center it.

My back window was already tinted when I bought the car. Even with tint and louvers visibility out the back is pretty decent.

how do you see through those louvres? Dont they disrupt your visual when you are in reverse? Also, can you open up your hood with that large spoiler without hitting the louvres?

The car is the 10series so the badge came with lights in it, I just simply took it apart for paint and wrap.

I just picked up a tc today and I'm hearing a whine. Goes away when foot is on clutch but even at idle it makes noise. Since you have a clean tc I wondered if you could give advice. Thank you

So seeing as I had extra metal from making the louvers I just cut 2 strips and bent them so they hooked under the hatch. They are riveted to the louvers. I didn't bolt them to the trunk but you easily could

@@ernestoruiz4946 no problem. I didn't want to fully rely on the 3m tape so I put those in as a fail safe. They've never budged thankfully so far even in winter and highway speeds.

Thanks, that's why I made the video. I have taken a lot of inspiration from others and now I want to give back. Currently I have only removed my side skirts and plasti dipped them, but I will be making or buying some form of actual side skirt trim.

How did you black out the scion emblem and still have the light shine thru?

I removed the emblems and took them apart to paint just the emblem itself. The front one is held onto the car by clips and the rear by adhesive. Once you get them off the car they have two small screws and a set of clips that separates the emblem into two pieces.

Hood is a Vinyl Wrap and emblems are the 10 series emblems that came on the car that I took apart and painted.

I mean in terms of a reliable daily I think it's perfect if you ignore the fact it's slow. Hard to beat the reliability and price you can get them for. I got mine back in 2016 for 14.5k with 16k miles on it.

How did you take off the oem spoiler?

The oem spoiler was a pain to remove. It had 6 bolts holding it on that are accessed through the trunk under the trim. The spoiler also had at least 2 expandable rivets towards the ends. The last and hardest part was the adhesive strip under the spoiler holding it to the trunk. I did my best to use heat and fishing line to remove that.

Bypass valve for 4 cylinder. LOL. I drive tuner cars and I never put one of those on a 4 cylinder, not only does it sound like shit you lose back pressure.

See you never using one and using that logic that only certain cars can utilize them is a joke. Drive any length of time with a catback exhaust and no muffler with passengers in the back and they wont ever ride with you again. The sound level difference with and without the valve can never be justified through a video.

I like tcs and in the process of getting one. But i just don't get the two color themes throughout the car. Like the gas tank door being black just makes it look like you went to th junkyard and bought one from a black tc. Not a good look in my opinion. Black or carbon wrapped hood also not a good look. Looks like you bought the wrong hood and need to still get it paint match. Also the trunk latch being black also not a good look.

unfortunately haha. Car was bought as a daily and surprise, I wound up not keeping it like that. If I ever turbo the car I will manual swap it first don't worry.
