This filter is awesome and of good quality. The price was also good, at 133 CDN. It fits the bike perfectly. Installing took me 15 minutes. www.amazon.ca/dp/B0BBFHNWVM?p...

Wish I had seen this earlier. I bought a Vance & Hines intake, paid way more than that and only later realized I have to pay even more to get a cover for it. Yours looks great. And for anyone watching & reading comments, YES the old breadbox kept hitting my knee. And the difference in airflow is astounding. You can hear the air being pulled in my new intake. Along with new pipes & a tuner my bike feels like it pulls 10hp stronger.

Awsom video. I changed out my air filter also and exhaust on my Bolt and had my ECU tuned by ivans performance. The tune is a must have if you havnt yet. were did you get the fork gators? i like that style. most are to big and look too compressed. can you sen me the link? Thanks

I am going to test the bike out before I do any tounning, also here is a link to the fork gators, you want the 41mm. fortnine.ca/en/bikers-choice-fork-boots

Love up the look of the new filter! Do you think you will need to tune the bike because of the increased airflow?
@weron0215 ай бұрын
I am not sure if I have to do that, this bike is fuel injection and also is equped with oxegon sensor that tells the computer how much fuel is needed.
@admendoza85375 ай бұрын
@@weron021 that makes sense. I guess I am just used to older carbureted bikes...I ride a 2005 Yamaha roadstar... Your Road Star videos were super helpful for me!

@@admendoza8537 I just spent reserching this object and there is no requirement to have the computer flashed or adjusted, Yamaha bolt for a factory runs lean and this will make it run perfect. No other adjustments are needed. The oxygen sensor does all of the work for you. Thank you.

@@weron021 Thanks for posting the video. I also thought that you had to tune the bike once you change both the air intake and the pipes. But especially the air intake.

@@dmenaced This bike is fuel injection and also is equped with oxegon sensor that tells the computer how much fuel and oxygen it needs, no need to tuneup the bike, also all Yamaha bolts from the factory are set to be lean and once you change the exaust and air filter it correct it self. I am going to ride like that for a bit and see if there is any major issues.

I saw one like that online recently for $349!! What a ridiculous price. Did you swap filters bc the stock filter stuck out too far? Many say that the stock filter bumps the knee.
@weron021Ай бұрын
I have changed the filter for 2 reasons, 1. it was hitting my knee, and 2. I got more power since the original air filter is restricted for air, Now I have more top-end speed.

Hey, I just installed this same intake. I have only ever had the stock intake, so im just curious. Is there supposed to be a loud hissing sound? I assume it's just the air being drawn in? I took it off and put it back on, and it's aligned and tight.

Not sure, I have not tested my bike out yet , we still have a bit of snow on the ground, but did you notice a performance change on your bike? Also once I get my bike up and running I will let you know.
@rizkybiss3 ай бұрын
The loud hissing is from more air being sucked in. Thats a good thing. The Bolt original is too restrictive. Mine does the same with a different intake.
@gba82503 ай бұрын
@weron021 I'm sure there's a bit of a difference, but the snow just melted where I am as well, so yesterday was my first ride since last summer. Nothing to noticeable to me. I say it's much better looking, though!

Looking to purchase this one. Are the air filter replacements easy to find? If so, do you have a brand and model number recommendation? Thanks!
