Hey there! Thanks for checking out my video on how to upgrade your base model 2014-2019 US Model Ford Fiesta to have Sync 3! This video will work for upgrading your Ford Fiesta for all global vehicles as long as your vehicle is equipped with some sort of voice control, whether that's Sync or BVC. Think what you've done is absolutely fantastic very interesting video wish you'd come and do one for me as I'd like to have that in my ford fiesta style 09 make it more modern ;) how much would it cost to have something like that done ? it's a super video I've saved your video and subscribed to your channel thanks for sharing I might look into having that done if possible

Maybe for the American Market, I've emailed them a week ago and no response. The American companies I've contacted regarding this upgrade are all rather unhelpful. Shame, there's money to be had selling this upgrade to the European markets..

I have a mk7 built in 2011 but I don't believe it has sync at all, it has a red lcd display and I was wondering if it is possible to do the sync 3 conversion

Hey mate, I've been upgrading mine from the standard non-bluetooth model to the standard Bluetooth model, but I dont have a wiring loom that connects the black APIM box (behind the glovebox) to the stereo or microphone. Do you guys make looms? Or do you know where I could source one please? 😁

Aloha, man... I've got almost everything-issue is the console mount for the usb hub. I would love to get PN for the armrest console item to mount it. Alternatively, is there any way I can use the already-extant usb connector in the center console? It's currently connected to the base sync that came stock.

Hello Bryan, I asked you yesterday about the configuration of the USB ports of the Ford Fiesta, when I connected the USB of sync 1 it works but when I connected the 2-port USB hub it did not read the pendrive, I will thank you if you will help me to make it work thanks .

Very cool!!! Thanks for this video. I am just trying to update to a radio with SiriusXM. I got yesterday a radio out of a focus, even though all the harnesses are the same, it did not work. DonInneed to reprogram something? Is a 2012 Ford Fiesta, the radio has the Sirius button but not the actual module for that.

What's the cubby part number for the center? My fiesta also doesn't have that, so I've been lost on that while looking to setup the hub, No iPhone but may as well set it up for everything in case I do get one or sell it and it makes it slightly more enticing for the buyer

My sons just had a kenwood system fitted, it looks good, however you remove the menu ability when you do this and his tyre pressure warning has come up on his dash is there a way of stopping that ?

I have a 2016 Fiesta, that has the stock radio without blue tooth, can i take a standard stock radio with blue tooth in install it and have it work. seems like that was what you were saying for the sync 3. If the car does not have blue tooth can i add it just by swapping out the radios components that have blue tooth.

Your work is really cool, congratulations. I'm from Brazil, here we have a version of the New Fiesta 1.5 that doesn't have Sync, and uses the Myconect system. I'm looking to find out what wires and hardware are needed to install Sync 3. I'm looking for electrical diagrams of it to study the possibility of this update. Do you know this version of the New Fiesta?

Hi Bryan, very informative video! Do you think a sync 4 system compatible with the mk7 fiestas could be coming in the market now that sync 4 debuted in new ford cars?

Short answer is no since the minimum screen size for Sync 4 is 8". The sync 4 modules can actually communicate with the displays and it would know if it's not the right size. I am actively working on getting Sync 4 to work on 8" previous gen cars. Halfway there it seems.

So sorry for the late reply, I haven't seen any of these comments 😬Yeah, it's the same thing as this video... except if you have BVC (pre-sync bluetooth voice control) you'll need a different harness that I'll be making soon... Here's a basic rundown of how that harness works in the Focus, which is essentially the same as the Fiesta in this instance: naviupgrade.com/uncategorized/upgrading-bluetooth-voice-control-bvc-to-sync-3/

2017 for sure has the same setup as this. It just looks like it's different due to the "space ship" Sony trim controls panel being so bulky 👍

Netherlands, but i will tell you this. Even if you decide to buy all the parts from the US, you will still need to make DIY fascia because of the differences between the US and EU spec models. That's one of the biggest obstacles for this upgrade on the EU spec fiesta. Also, i still didn't find a part for holding the USB ports for android auto/carplay.

does your kit come with the backup camera? and the instructions on how to install the back up cam ?

Our kit does not have a backup camera, however you can install any aftermarket backup camera to our harness. Simply provide power to the camera from a reverse light (you could do constant power, but this is more likely to burn an aftermarket camera out faster), and program the module to have the camera turn on when you shift into reverse 👍

Yes it will work, but you'll need to DIY some things like the USB hub holder. Also if your Fiesta has BVC you'll need to use our BVC harness instead.

We sell APIMs for much less than Ford 🙂 If you've got the Sony system I'd stay away from aftermarket since it's a pain to tie into.

I'm curious about one thing. On the focal in-car speaker homepage, it says that "fiesta premium factory option (IE Sony head unit) cannot use our speakers". Is there anything that would suggest why?

Probably tweeter positioning would be my guess if the premium version used component speakers (where the tweeter is separate from the main 6.5" mid/low)

Gotta first see if your car is BVC. To do this go to connect Bluetooth and see if the Bluetooth name is Sync or Ford Audio. If you have "Ford Audio" you'll need our BVC harness. For all the pieces you'll need to source them from the US - I recommend hitting up salvage yards with Sync 3 equipped Fiestas (2016-2018) on car-part.com
