I like the s type, its deep but not too aggressive. Everywhere you go someone would try to race you if your exhaust is loud like the atak

I like the deep rounded note of the S-Type better. The ATAK is louder, but it’s like a dirty loud. On the right car either one works. Like I got a 12 300C 5.7 and the S sounds perfect, the ATAK is too aggressive for the luxury look

It’s like an electric guitar. If u have a Stratocaster guitar then you would know what I’m saying but the ATAK sounds like the bridge pick up and the s-type is like the middle pickup or neck pick up

S-Type sounds best. Louder isn't always better. Atak sounds raspy and would be obnoxious with catless long tubes.

Seems like the sounds are pretty similar, but on the ATAK the higher frequencies are attenuated.

I just did a muffler delete with dynomax mini bullets and it honestly sounds just as loud and good. I'd only get a full exhaust replacement to pair with other performance mods

Hello borla exhausts, I have tried contacting you guys about this but without much luck. I have a 2013 Dodge Charger and really liked the sound the S-Type system in this video. However Due to my budget I cannot get the whole system. Therefore I wanted to get a set of mufflers sold on your website that would be able to replicate the sound of the S-type seen here the closes. Any change you guys can help me out a bit?

Question when buying exhaust tips I noticed one said 500 dollars each but it had two exhaust tops on the picture. Do I just pay the 500 once to get both exhaust tips or do I have to buy it twice to get both exhaust tips?

I have the ATAK on my Challenger 5.7 V8 and just last weekend was driving with a friend and pointed out how at cruising you hardly hear it at all. Very quiet until you get on it :-D

Hello! The mufflers we use in our Cat-Back systems are specific to each vehicle and that system. We don't sell the mufflers separately or have an equivalent universal muffler. While we do have a variety of universal mufflers, they are different from the vehicle-specific mufflers in our Cat-Back exhaust systems. What is the pipe diameter that you need? We can check if we have something that can work for your car.

@@borla I have a 2019 scat pack, 2.75 piping. I currently have mid muffler delete and was thinking of using the universal s type or the "crate" or "hot" style atak mufflers I have seen for sale vs the full cat back system. I don't want to lose my active exhaust valve setup. Thank you.

Our CrateMufflers are for specific crate engines. We don't recommend their use outside of the engine applications they were designed for. Unfortunately, we don't have much universal options in the 2.75" diameter. The only option we have is part number 401338.

There is no drone with either system. It's just about as quiet as stock during steady, cruising speeds such as on a highway. You'll really only hear our system during acceleration. However, we do want to let you know that the S-Type has been discontinued so we now only offer the ATAK. It's available with and without functioning valves for the active exhaust feature on the Charger 392.

The only difference between the two systems is sound so it will come down to preference. The ATAK system is more aggressive than the S-Type.

Hello! 140672 includes functioning valves for the Active Exhaust feature. 140675 has valve simulators to prevent a CEL, but does not have functioning valves. If you wish to retain the Active Exhaust, we recommend 140672.

Hello! The MSRP of our ATAK Cat-Back with functioning valves, part number 140672, is $1,914.99 and the system with valve simulators, part number 140675, is $1,488.99. The system is a true dual exhaust similar to the stock system. If you are interested in purchasing, we recommend ordering from our dealers as they will have the better deal with free shipping in the U.S.

@@borla so valve simulators mean that the real valves are deleted, and hence always open, and hence the different driving modes would all sound like track mode?

@@adrian3686 Correct, the system with valve simulators do not have valves. The simulators are there to prevent a CEL since the valves have been removed. You would lose the Active Exhaust feature on the Cat-Back system with simulators.

@@adrian3686 Yes, since there are no valves it will always be loud regardless of the mode you choose. The factory valve motors or actuators will need to be reused on the Borla system. A tune is not necessary.
