Can one clean the tips of NOx and O2 sensors with something like Lucas fuel injector cleaner?

@@scottlake5280 yeah I like to clean the sensor with compressed air, I haven’t tried anything else before, it actually fixes the problem sometimes.

Thank you I am hoping this is the issue. I have the particulate filter code, check engine light and now my vehicle will not start so I’m gonna go ahead and order that particulate filter sensor. Hopefully it’s it.

Weird that it won’t start, I’m gonna say it probably needs the sensor tho they are really common to go bad

I can't get an SCR regen cycle/test going because supposedly my NOx sensors are not functioning. Is there a special tool to remove them, not unlike tools for easily removing O2 sensors? Maybe the same one?

@@scottlake5280 I can’t remember if the NOX sensor nut is bigger than the O2 sensor, I think it is. But yeah there is a special sensor socket you can get just for sensors, it works great

Hello. My mechanic told me that I need to replace 2 nox sensors and that they need to be OEM. Does this car have 2 nox sensors and would OE work? I am ordering the parts myself on fcpeuro.

Yes and yes OEM is the best option.
