Not a dragster but quick and enough. It's real talent is happily cruising at 70-80 for 12 years trouble free. Then there's the Corvette Racing suspension for the two lane curves.

The 1.8 was never a powerful engine but was reliable, I had 2 sonics that never had engine problems and kept both until 40K miles, the second I had only had a transmission sensor problem but besides that. I’ve never had a problem with the 1.8L sonic.

You know for a six-speed automatic transmission it shifts decently quick and I'm thinking of getting a Chevy Sonic but a 2012 model though in sedan form

Stability control, if you hold the Traction Control button both will turn off.
