Thank you! I've always had my 2015 HD Ultra Ltd serviced but in order to reduce costs, I am going to try this myself for the first time. Your video explains the process well. I appreciate it!

This is a great video as far as oil changing goes! I am a professional pipefitter, I can assure you, there is no need for thread sealant aka pipe dope on straight threads. It is specifically for tapered threads without a rubber seal.

I have a 2019 limited and love the 80w140 in the transmission and primary-shifts like a different bike and neutral is silky smooth

I love it when they are shifting right- I’m fighting the dreaded fluid crossover w/ my 19 UL now. When I change fluids, it’s silky smooth, but a 1K mikes later it’s fighting me again.

@@CrawdaddyCustoms a friend of mine bought a 19 UL about a week after I did and he did the 1000 mile service himself-you would not believe the slivers of aluminum that came out of that transmission ! Scary !

Nice video! ...I noticed that under the jiffy stand you placed a piece of wood to have motorcycle stand a bit upright. Is that because you wanted not to spill an oil while the primary oil change?

When I add oil to the primary, I want it upright and level, so I get an accurate fill.

Most bikes are meant to be checked on the side stand.

Sorry, did not hear it... What turn of the new oil filter you did after the filter's rubber sealant contact?.. Half of the turn?? Half and 1/4?? Thanks.

Yes, 1/2-3/4 of a turn. This is done to slightly preload the seal after it makes initial contact. Usually 1/2 turn will do the trick- you just don’t want it leaking.

Can I ask why you prefer Mobil 1 branded oil as compared to the other brands of oils including Harley? I am not being sarcastic just feel like some of the oils out there are over rated. I know you can buy off Mobil 1 V-Twin motor oil off the shelf at Walmart much cheaper.

If you look at the MSDS sheets for Harley's synthetic oil, it's a blend- Mobil 1 is a true synthetic. Mobil 1 comes in a lot of super cars as factory fill. It's a personal thing, but if it's good enough for a $200,000 Porsche, it'll do the trick for me!
