The full Autobahn Drive & Country-road sound test of the all new 2014/2015 Jaguar F-Type Coupe having a mind blowing active sports exhaust system. Although that this car "only" has the entry level V6 with 340 hp, 450 Nm and 8-speed Quickshift transmission the sound coming out of that V6 is just marvelous. I am not exaggerating if I am saying that this is the best V6 sound EVER coming out of a factory exhaust system, its super thrilling and can cope with any super car sound out there. Acceleration figures are good, but of course a Porsche Cayman GTS or Audi TTRS are slightly faster to 200 km/h. Tried the convertible a few days ago (prefer the rear a lot more than the coupe, spoiler is too small and looks weird imo, plus the added benefit of hearing the engine and exhaust with the roof down). Amazing car, and the sound; mind-blowing! especially with the active exhaust turned on is something you have to hear in person to truly appreciate, I actually prefer it to the sound of the R.

Luckily you are not the only one that ordered the F-Type V6 Coupe after watching this video. I know of another two people that went straight to the Jaguar dealership when they saw this. AND the F-Type price/rate isn't that bad at all if you consider the specialty of the car, Leasing is almost half of a Porsche Cayman GTS!

omg the sound is better than any car imaginable. it's not raucous, not over the top and has depth, perfect balance of energy and elegance. it's no show off but it's not subtle. at a stretch i was thinking of an AstonDB11 for my next car, and looks wise it's better off but the sound... the F type just keeps coming back. it's really unique

In my opinion, this and the Maserati Ghibli (not the diesel) are the best sounding V6 in the actual market. Obviuosly, the Jag sounds louder because it is a sport car and the Ghibli a sport-saloon, but they sound very similar and marvelous!

There is a little secret to everything;) But in general I just use several GoPros, a Sony Camcorder with an external microphone and a professional video editing software. All together it isn't cheap to get but over time you appreciate the premium hard- and software once you are working with it every day. Thanks for your feedback!

Richtig, hatte Ende letzten Jahres schon mal die Möglichkeit einen V6S zu fahren. Schon damals hat mich der Sound umgehauen, der V6S hat die Klappenauspuffanlage ja serienmäßig. Von der Leistung her merkt man schon einen Unterschied, der "S" is bissiger, dreht etwas schneller hoch und hat gefühlt in höheren Gängen mehr Durchzug. Nehmen würde ich aber wahrscheinlich den V6 mit 340 PS, denn der Sound ist absolut ebenbürtig und man spart auch ausstattungsbereinigt circa 8.000 EUR. Das erste Extra was immer rein MUSS ist der "Active Sports Exhaust" alles andere ist je nach Geschmack und Finanzen;-)

Weiß jemand mit wieviel DB der im Zulassungsschein angegeben ist? Mein 981S hat 98 DB mit Original Porsche Sport Abgasanlage. Der Jaguar klingt schon mächtig...bin neugierig und hoffe jemand kann mir das beantworten. Top Video!!

Ich hab mich gestern erst damit befasst. Laut einigen Besitzern sind beim V6 95 dB & beim V8 96 dB eingetragen. Waren aber alles Vor-MY18 Modelle. Konnte auch selbst nicht glauben als ich mal mit in einem V6 durch einen Tunnel bin. Das ist richtig LAUT 💥

XFZY Hey! Ja ich weiß, dass Autos mit Klappenauspuff bis 2014 unglaubliche Db Anlagen Legal eingebaut bekommen haben. Als hätten die gewusst, dass OPF im kommen ist, wollten die nochmal so richtig auf die Kacke hauen! Bei mir war es die Entscheidung zwischen Porsche und Jaguar. Was mich dann doch zum Porsche brachte, war folgender Grund : Der Luftansaugtrackt liegt quasi 40cm neben dem Fahrer (Ohr) und offen hast du somit eine Soundkulisse die seinesgleichen sucht. Vielen Dank für deine Antwort! Ich wusste die beiden liegen echt knapp aneinander aber wie gesagt, offen und Mittelmotor ist dann eben nochmals gefühlt wegen der „Nähe“ um einiges brutaler. Trotz allem gefällt mir der Jaguar nach wie vor richtig gut!!! Grüße aus Wien

@@TheWasp550 Das nehme ich doch auch schon fast irgendwie an, dass die es wussten haha. Ist wirklich Schade für uns Enthusiasten, dass die ganzen neuen EU-Normen wirklich alles "ruinieren". Glückwunsch zu deinem Flitzer! Das muss echt toll sein, so einen zu fahren und das ganze zu erleben, wie du es beschreibst. Bedauerlicherweise hatte ich bisher noch nicht das Vergnügen in einem Porsche zu sitzen (Cayenne/SUVs zählen hier nicht). Mal sehen, ob ich mir in den nächsten Jahren den Traum erfüllen kann einen F-Type zu holen. Der hat meiner Meinung nach echt das Zeug zum Klassiker, wenn hier nur noch "Staubsauger" und "Mikrowellen" herumfahren. Grüße zurück

XFZY Vielen dank! Um ehrlich zu sein, ich bin das erste mal PORSCHE gefahren 1999. Einen Boxster S und wollte seitdem einen haben. 20 Jahre, harte Arbeit und 3 Auto Generationen später, hab ich mir den Traum erfüllt 😊 Bleib am Ball! Beides sind super Autos! Keine macht den „Staubsaugern“ 😂 Lg

Pech kann man das nicht nennen;-) Der V6 klingt genauso gut wie der V6-S und von der Leistung her ist das kein dramatischer Unterschied. Ich würde immer den V6 nehmen, bei 8.000 EUR Preisdifferenz.

Ich hadere im Moment noch, ob ich mir den V6 von den Grünen holen soll. Die Preise sind deutlich günstiger als bei Sixt. Wichtig ist nur der Klappenauspuff. :-)

Ehrlich gesagt glaube ich nicht, dass sie die Preise groß was nehmen wenn man für beide Vollkasko und gewisse Kilometer rechnet. Bei Sixt haben auf jeden Fall alle Klappenauspuff;-)

Das stimmt, wenns um ein WE gehen soll dann ist Europcar meist interessanter, bei Sixt und Avis gibt fürs WE und die Luxury Car Flotte keinen speziellen WE Tarif. Wenn du allerdings innerhalb der Woche nur 1 oder 2 Tage suchst, dann ist es mit Sixt für ca. 145 EUR günstiger.

There are even videos from sportscars like Lamborghini or Ferrari which are being overtaken by trucks (for a few seconds). Keyword is acceleration. Of course you are being overtaken by cars which are already at 120 km/h or more when you‘re starting from 0,00 km/h...

Ein wirklich schönes Auto. Aber egal bei welcher Automarke, wenn der ausfahrbare Heckspoiler hochkommt, wirds hinten einfach hässlich. Seltsam, dass den Herstellern da nichts besseres einfällt.
