On Aug, 31 2015 we filmed this Ausfahrt.tv - Video - Review introducing the 2015 KIA Cee'd 1.0 T-GDI GT-Line to you. We had a chance to drive the car during the international press driving event in Zilina, Slowakia for a couple of hours. All the experiences we had with our test drive, the 2015 KIA Cee'd 1.0 T-GDI GT-Line we put in our video review which is splitted into sections. We always treat all cars the same, KIA Cee'd 1.0 T-GDI als compact class. We would like some competitors of the KIA Cee'd: f.e. I speak both English and German. I absolutely love the reviews in English more so than the German ones. You got a lot of personality and everybody knows that Germans know their cars. Your opinion is respected just because of this one fact.

Great video and the most detailed car review I have seen. I even liked your bloopers at the end. I will need to look at the other videos you have made. Believe it or not, you even helped me with an accent I need to practice for a live performance... To be honest, I was a little disappointed with your comments about the 1.0T engine because I have agreed to collect this car this week and it replaces my 1.6 TDCI Ford Focus Titanium X car. This one is supposed to have more power, but I will see as I travel to work up the Glennifer Braes here in Paisley, Scotland. All the Best to you! Æ

Can you move the speedometer on the left to see rpm in the main display? Is totally useless have digital speedometer if you can't customize it.

a proper review of a a nice car. I have the Soul 2011 and I'm thinking of trading it for this. should I wait a little longer? is there another improved version coming in 2017?

Does that comment about slow cars with downsized engines also go along with vw 1.2tsi and 1.4tsi engines (110-125hp) ? Or can you compare this 1.0 T-GDI with those engines? Thanks

I just test-drove a kia rio with the 1.0T 120hp engine and a seat ibiza with the 150hp... Coming from a volvo s60 2.0T with 165hp, I wasn't impressed much. Having owned a fiat seicento 1100cc 55hp, I wasn't impressed either... For normal people, who just want A car that brings them to work and so... yes, the car was fast enough, there was enough power from the engine, it wasnt "horrible" the 3cilinder sound and "rattling", ... The engines are "slow revving" and it makes the car feel "slower" and less nimble. As a (sporty) car lover, I really DISLIKE all threecylinder engines the manufacturers are shoving in our noses!!! They claim they want 1cilinder less, to reduce friction and losses, but they ADD a balancer-shaft or more wheight... What they should've done to reduce friction and losses, is what honda did years ago (and as automotive engineer I dont understand why honda didnt do this now themselves btw): use better bearings (ballbearings) and tolerances. There was this old honda (cant remember model) and I believe the Integra R, whose engines required less oilpressure and were very light-revving cause of the serious lack of friction and excessive (balancing) wheights...

That consumption (4,9 l/100) is the comsumption that you mesure or numbers givem for kia?

excellent review, interesting view of 1.0 T-GDI engine, although majority of reviews wouldn't agree with your opinion on this engine. I've read opinions that this is one the most refined (quitest) turbogas engine, and the fact is also that it's actually quicker that comparable engine (ecoboost, 120hp)) on Ford Focus! And ofcourse substantially quicker in town (because of more Nm at lower rpms) than any Ceed gas engine so far. So, ofcourse it couldn't be a sports car with only 120hp, but engine is infact one of the best in it's class and good enough for average family needs. I agree however, that 1.6 turbo diesel engine is better choice for this car as Ceed with 1.6 crdi is only 1500 eur pricier than with 1.0 t-gdi.

Ciao Jan! Ciao Tobias! Nice review, gents. Did you feel safe under the overpass?? Jan looks tough with the black wrist gear 👍🏻 maybe a few spikes would have been in order, eh? Having a 195cm/6'5" cameraman good thing too 😎 Kia has a nice looking car with this model. I could pass on the sugar cube drl's on the front for sure. It was very hot and very sunny this day we filmed the review, so it was nice to have some shadow under the over pass - even it was probably not the most beautiful location to choose ;) I think KIA has an interessting car with the Cee'd and for sure it was a good decision to introduce the "GT-Line" - fo me personally, I would rather choose another, a bit more powerful engine. Hello mr. Zee! You said that you don't like the new "downsized" engines that you've tried. Have you been able to test the new Volkswagen's 1.2l? I saw that they put them in bigger cars like the Skoda Octavia, or the VW Touran. Are they worth it? I'm more "old school" and prefer cars with bigger engines, but many people around me are saying that those new engines perform better than the old 1.6 or even 1.8. What do you think?

Slovakia is very beautiful country ;-) I live here :) Kia 1,0 T-GDI is no very good engine, in my opinion... 1,2 TSI 81kw from VW (Polo and Golf) is the best new downsized engine :) Super review!

+Gregor Lukáč no it's not, best downsized engine is Ford's ecoboost. TSI had HUGE problems with reliability and I wouldn't be surprised if they still do.

Yes,old TSI had problem but I think new TSI with EU6 :)

+Gregor Lukáč I love Slovakia as well. Had the pleasure of living in Bratislava back in 1996 - lots of good memories :-) . As for the best downsized engine right now, I think you should take a look at the PSA 1.2 with either 110 or 130 horses :-)

Ich schaue die Videos auch auf englisch nachdem ich sie auf deutsch gesehen habe, einfach weil ich es echt super finde dass du nicht nur national denkst. Das soll dir erst einmal nachmachen, multilingual solche aufwändigen Videos zu machen. Mach weiter so - die englische Community dankt es dir!

+drug2 Stell du dich gerne mal vor die Kamera und zeig uns deine Englisch Kenntnisse! Wenn du meinst du bist so viel besser, dann erstell doch Videos und bring es den Leuten bei! Typisch deutsch. Immer nur meckern, aber nichts besser machen. Übrigens: Deine beiden Videos "Sinnlos" und "Funny Headbang" sind hier auf KZfaq das einzige was peinlich ist!
