And Aprilia already played in the qualifiers for the world championships in 2014 in Vietnam, and there's no problem about her gender

this is volleyball, not beauty pageant. who cares what they look like? tsk tsk the shallowness of some people. or are watching the game just to ogle girls' legs? those of you who accuse April to be transgender and insult her for her look, you should be ashamed of yourselves. be thankful that you were born perfect. she didn't ask to be born that way. this is not the first time she compete in the female team and she was also in the track team. and she's been cleared time and again. she's never afraid to do whatever test required to confirm her gender. after all, a game can't be won by just one person, it's teamwork. just work harder to win instead of looking for excuses.

btw, pinoys, with all your tagalog comments, indonesians understand lalaki. we use the same word for man. it's not that hard to guess the insults. why bother watching sport when you're so lacking sportmanship? booing the other team, can it get lower than that? is this how you usually behave when something doesn't go your way? wouldn't your energy better spent in cheering for your team rather than heaping insults on the opponent? i've never seen a worse example of pinoy pride. you're insulting yourselves by the way you behave. a team's victory can't rely on one person. volleyball is a teamwork. better get busy improving yours rather than busy looking for excuses.

No offense to April Manganang, but team Indonesia can still kick some ass even without her. Team Indonesia comprised of a bunch of highly talented players and it can be seen that they are in this together, as a team. They played very well, earned every single points, stayed humble and push through. Respectable team regardless of the gender issue.

Hopefully ara galang will be ready for the next SEA games. Firepower + floor defense. Jia Morado did a great job as a setter but she is an OBVIOUS liability in the front row. Kim Fajardo would have been a better option. Hopefully for the next SEA games, Open Spiker: Alyssa Valdez and Ara Galang, Middle Blocker: Jaja Santiago and Dindin Santiago (I am actually thinking if dindin could do a "gamova" and perform well in the utility position), Utility: Maizo or Gonzaga, Libero: Gata-Pantone :P

We were watching this game with some of my English friends, and they were really shocked with this #9 Indonesian player...they said how come the SEA games organisers have allowed a ? Transgender ? Hermaphrodite ? Shemale in this International competition. They said its pretty much obvious that this player's testosterone level is way up high than normal...the looks, the facial and body features, the movements, etc. Then I was just speechless, and all I can say was "your guess is as good as mine"... Hehehe! Anyway, WELL DONE, PHILIPPINE TEAM for playing fair and square ;) - love from UK

it seem all the bad comments here are the fans that not accepted that they are lose, every sports had their own organizations and there was a lot of professionals that had knowledges over all of us about the sports that they managed. and also counts some doctors and a lot expert when testing about what you all had been disscussing in here (gender). don't defend if not had proof and also don't badmouth or others trash talking if you also don't had a proof. let the professionals do their work and accept the result of their decission as a correct fact. by the way, i'm indonesian, if you like to test grammar since there is an insulted about how we speak and write english, bring it on!! let us test our english right now ^_^

May nga unforce errors din kasi tayo but kudos to all the girls they do the best that can. Na pressure lang talga cla dikit namn kasi ang laban ibig sabhin kaya nila ang indonesia. 1st game kasi plus come back ng Phil Team for how many years na di sumali. Kaya yan kung pwd lang rematch.
