The 2015 Triumph T 100 Black Cool, hip, badass, and relatively inexpensive to own and ride. Get one, and get on with it!

I watch this review once in a while for giggles. This guy is funny. I've even used some of his lines.. "does it have spirit? Doesn't matter, do you have spirit?" "it's about being cool, looking cool" "does it make you happy?"

You are hilarious what a fresh take!! ! you’re right it’s all about feeling cool!! I’m coming at you from the future 2022 Bonneville T100 When you fire up a Triumph, a beam of light shines down on you from the heavens . Absolutely nothing like a Triumph!! When you tell people you have a Honda they’re like “nice”when you say you have a Triumph they’re like “huh where ??”

Haven't been exposed to the whole Triumph nostalgia thing but have been checking out there bikes lately. They are very cool and popular. Nice to see.

"Not gonna do it, wouldn't be prudent." You forgot, "at this juncture!" I like the video. Just bought this bike back in April 2015. My first ride. I bought it for many reasons. But the primary reason was that everyone down South seems to think that Harley's are the only bikes to own. I love the attitude of this bike and hope people down here will dare to be different. Great video!

You have reviewed my bike twice now! So definitely worth my sub! Nice to see her in sunny California on superb roads. Over hear (Cumbria, Northern England, where I live) most roads are full of cow shit, mud, oil and potholes.....Bonnie doesn't care;)

T100 is really a great bike - kinda bumbed they bumped the msrp up 400 bux, that's crazy for no changes. I'm guessing there will be changes for 2016 though with the EU requiring ABS, we'll probably get the ABS model here in states, and may be additional changes, so best IMO is to either buy a left-over '14 or hold out until '16's are available. From my experience riding it (not a ton), it's a bike that you have to have fun on. It's not particularly exciting to live with, but if you're out there to have a blast the bike will make a great counter-part to you! You really can't go wrong with the bonnie, I've never heard somebody say that they bought a bonnie and they regretted it over something else. ...especially with the Kawi W800 not being sold in the US it's really kind of in a league of its own (most people would buy it over the Guzzi because Triumph has a way better dealership network and what-not), no wonder they've sold buckets of these bonnies!

I bought MY 2014 in April 2015 and have run about 800 km. Let me tell my personal impression for your reference. Pros→ ・The just size for me→Japan made 1300 class, including CB, XJR or ZRX, are little over spec under traffic condition in Japan. ・Not as heavy as the spec of 230 kg,→ thanks to low center of gravity. ・Excellent highway stability→thanks to low center of gravity. ・No uncomfortable vibration within the legal speed limit or little over. ・TImeless classic styling. Never gets you bored. ・Low seat height (775mm) . I am 177cm (5'9"1/2) tall and easily bottom both of my feet. It seems if you are taller than 160cm(5'3"), you will feel secure bottoming your feet. Cons→ ・Hefty price tag in Japan (1.31 million yen including 8% of consumption tax)(about $9200 in USA) ・Lack of reliability.I left the ignition off for 2 weeks and found the battery dead. I used warranty coverage but such problems never happened thru my previous ownership (ever owned 4 major Japanese manufacturers, total 7 bikes) ・High engine revs during highway cruising. Hope it should introduce 6 speed transmission ・High price on genuine parts. Not enough aftermarket options available. ・Poor fuel consumption,→It covers only 16 to 18 Km/L. My friend owns W650 and it covers almost 30 km/L. ・It needs many keys to operate.I always carry 5 different keys. (Ignition, Steering lock Optional windshield, Optional seat opener and Optional fuel opener) Should be organized in 1. ・Too hot engine.

I had a 1983 TRIUMPH TSX in the mid eighties. I loved it except for the pipes vibrated loose all of the time. I want this but at 60 yrs old? Those days are gone.
@calmoto90738 жыл бұрын
+69zenos1 Those days are not gone; use it or lose it;). Unless of course you have an issue that truly prevents you from riding.
@69zenos18 жыл бұрын
Actually.. I was almost killed in 1987 by the left turn demon. Almost died, almost lost my leg, spent 7 months of that year in the hospital off and on.and could not walk for 1 year without crutches. BUT...That isn't what has keptme from still riding. In fact I rode a few years ago. I just can't afford a bike. Then I saw this bike and I am now reconsidering. I really want a Harley of course but unless you ride those things on long rides on a regular basis you are ruining them by just hopping around locally. This bike is fucking cool and is 100cc more than the original. How can ya beat that? And no, I ain't riding an UNCOOL bike! BOTTOM LINE. I am sure you get it.

So now that you've tested both the Base Black and the T100 Black, what are your thoughts/comparisons between the two? Is the handling difference and extra weight that noticeable? Any other thoughts?
@calmoto90739 жыл бұрын
***** The Standard is certainly a quicker handling bike than the T100, but I wouldn't base a decision on that. With these bikes it's all about looks, with the exception of seat height. If you need the lowest saddle, go with the Standard.

Not at all bud! You showed great restraint. More than I could. You're absolutely correct about the Triumph classics as well. They are " ultra cool" and a lot of bike for the $$$. I bought the Thunderbird LT. Fell in love with when I saw it and God is it smooth, fast and a bargain compared to those in its class. The torque is incredible. Perfect for an old guy like me. Keep up the great work! This fossil will keep watching. Stay safe!

@danfavata28218 жыл бұрын
what I mean is the original triumphs were all British made..not anymore
@katana2588 жыл бұрын
so is that a bad thing , i mean does it lower the design standards who turns the bolts , or where the machine that assembles the parts is bolted to the floor ??
@danfavata28218 жыл бұрын
to me it is. I mean If I want a British motorcycle I expect it to be made in Great Britian, Same thing with Harley, I want an American bike, I expect it to be made in American by American workers. The Triumph may be a perfectly fine bike,but to me its not authentic and there are many like myself that feel this way, right or wrong, its how I feel.
@Silentway2478 жыл бұрын
+Dan Favata So you like owning Chinese clothes, and Chinese computers, and Chinese cell phones. Do you own an American car manufactured in Mexico, a Japanese car made in the US. Very few things are made in the country of origin anymore. You're entitled to an opinion but it is a bit ridiculous considering the global economy we live in today. 50 Years ago I would agree with you.
@danfavata28219 жыл бұрын
maybe Im wrong, but if you want a British bike , it should come from Britian, if you want US its a Harley or Polaris, victory .. right????

I thought it was a nice change from all the BS torque figures and horsepower BS. It is a bike that stands out in a crowd, does the job of getting you from A to B reliably, has heritage, doesn't depreciate like some other brands.
