This week I present to You the full Drive & Sound test with the all new 2015/2016 Volkswagen Passat (B8) Sedan / Limousine powered by the popular 2.0 TDi delivering 150 hp and 340 Nm of torque. This particular car comes in "Comfortline" with 16 inch winter-wheels and the 6-speed manual transmission. Even in this "entry-level" trim this car is close to perfect as the engine pulls nicely and quiet, the agility and ride comfort ist very good and consumption was always at 5.x....even on the Autobahn. As you see in the video the acceleration is pretty much as expected, being not really slower than the same engine in the Golf 7. I don't know if I always hit the shifts perfect but overall this is a marvelous manual transmission with crisp yet very comfortable shifts. Unfortunately I was not able get either CarNet or MirrorLink going as the car didn't have the SIM-Module and MirrorLink was not activated yet. Still, with the Discovery Media you get a very slick Infotainment System for a moderate price which (due to a new processor) is significantly faster than the "small" navigation system in the Golf 7. We'll end the year 2014 with some authentic footage of the all-new Passat that I was able to film and test for a whole week - a great vehicle despite the rather low spec. This year has been an awesome one, especially for our Automann-TV project that is growing and growing. EuroN This new Passat B8 is already based on a new modular platform. The current Audi A4 still has a similar base structure as the "old" Passat. Therefore I would say that this is better than the current A4, considering you buy a car with similar options. It's lighter, more fuel efficient and even quieter inside.

EuroN the A4 is a completely different plattform by the way (longitudinal mounted engine vs. transverse).

this seems to be the only video showing the b8 without led headlights, thanks. its a shame they don't add the chrome line with the halogens, it makes the front much classier.

Hi there! Will You make anytime soon test of mazda 6? I was just wondering because they say it is noisy, and i know there was always some engine noise when i was driving passat. I would like that You compare this two cars. Thank You and good luck with Your work! :)

Gutes Video. Top Qualität wie immer. Der dunkle Multivan ab 4:10 hatte aber auch ordentlich was drauf oder ;) ? Hattest ja kleine Schwierigkeiten rasch an ihn vorbei zu ziehen hehe

Jaja, diese flotten Multivans mit WOB Kennzeichen, die haben alle den großen Diesel drin und fahren die Kisten auch aus....da kann man höchstens mithalten, aber nicht mehr aufholen oder überholen;)

Das Teil geht ja besser voran als mein 318d F30 als Handschalter. Ich mache mir dann mal bei einem Kauf von dem mit dem DSG Getriebe wohl weniger Sorgen wegen den 150ps auf 1,5 Tonnen Leergewicht.

Na für Halogen sieht das doch ganz ok aus. Ich finde das Infotainment könnte sich optisch stärker von Golf/Octavia abheben.

Sieht bis dato sehr ähnlich aus, hat aber eine neue Prozessorgeneration! Gehe aber davon aus, dass diese auch in den Golf kommt ab nächstem MJ, und später auch in den Octavia.

Da kann man mal sehen wie bieder die "Holzklasse" ist ohne LED ,digitalen Tacho,Asphalt-Trennscheiben usw. ist. Fast so wie früher. Wirkt jetzt fast nur noch wie ein facelift

Daweisstebescheid Wie man so schön sagt, die entscheidenen Unterschiede liegen unter dem Blech;) Das Platzangebot ist nochmal besser gegenüber dem Vorgänger und fahren tut sich das Fahrzeug wie eine ganze Klasse kleiner, nicht zuletzt wegen des konkurrenzlos leichten MQB. Man muss dann schon den Vorgänger in gleicher Ausstattung daneben stellen, dann merkt man es deutlich...

Bamed Jons Ich bin der Meinung, dass es Xenon gar nicht mehr gibt nur noch die optionalen LEDs. Stimmt, die Ausstattung ist nicht wirklich der Hit, zumindest optisch, aber auf der anderen Seite kostet das Fahrzeug so auch "nur" ca. 35.000 EUR und hat schon ziemlich viel mit an Bord.

Automann-TV Viel wichtiger als LEDs sind meiner Meinung nach klimatisierte Sitze für den Sommer und eine Standheizung für den Winter. Sitzheizung ist ja mittlerweile eh Standard, also wäre es schön, wenn diese beiden Features langsam mal folgen würden. Bist du eigentlich mal den B7 Passat mit 140PS gefahren?

Automann-TV Das habe ich auch gehört, dass manche Hersteller von Xenon abkommen wollen. Hängt soviel ich weiß damit zusammen, dass man sich die für Xenon erforderliche Scheinwerferreinigungsanlage einsparen kann und ggf. auch die autom. Leuchtweitenregulierung
