IASAR is a civilian organization of retired military pilots, crew chiefs, and mechanics flying out of KUMP (Fishers Indiana). Currently we have one 1968 UH-1 Huey and one 1952 H-13 Sioux (Bell 47G) flight worthy. We are in the process of restoring two additional Huey's. Hope you enjoy this video.
IASAR (Indiana Air Search and Rescue) is a civilian, volunteer faith based 501(c)3 Non-Profit charity dedicated to provide Air Relief, Aircraft Rescue & Preservation, Education and Support to our community: and honor to the military and all Veterans. IASAR a civilian group funded through donations. With those donations, IASAR is a part of American History that helps educate youth, future aviators, history buffs and others by flying into school, community and military veteran’s events, parades and corporate events. IASAR hosts public and private events at the Indy Metro Airport (KUMP). These special fly-ins ensure that the Huey and other warbirds will not be forgotten. IASAR’s Huey, 68-16563, served four tours of duty in Vietnam: the US Army’s 1/9, 1/10th, 2/20th Air Cavalry and the 117th “Warlords” Air Assault Divisions from 1969-71.
