This is really good stuff! Thank you for this. I'm currently having trouble removing the A pillar for the 2022 Acura MDX. I've given up. Going to take it to a stereo installer shop which might know how to remove the panel so that I can install the dashcam. Hope someday you get a chance to do a teardown of the MDX :)

No. I took mine off just fine.

Probably not a bad idea to disconnect the battery. You’re really supposed to disconnect the battery before doing any repairs and if you’re not sure, all the more reason to do it. If that airbag blows in your face while you’re holding a screwdriver, it could literally kill you.

Thank you for the helpful A pillar video. Do you have any advice for running the wire for the rear dashcam? I'm having trouble with the trim piece above the side window in the cargo area. It doesn't seem to have any give when prying.

Hey, I got a 2017 pilot and just bought a dash cam that has a front camera and rear camera(to be mounted on the rear tailgate window)... I didnt think about this prior but I have to run a wire from the front camera to the rear and was just gonna tuck the wire in the headliner and on the top part of the a,b, and c pillar panels... as I was doing this, I realized theres airbags there =(.. any idea on how or where to tuck the wires without blocking the airbags?

Hey I’m about to do the same my dash cam comes next week but I’m wondering what the best way to install the rear cam is did you manage to remove any of the panels on the tailgate do they just pop off?

@@therealalastairbrown7488 I never did install the rear camera. My best thought was to run it on the floor to the rear. Good luck. My dash cam can still run and record the front but I'll have to install it eventually lol.

@@DIYHonda Would love to see 2019 Honda Fit A pillar removal. It isn't a straight piece (has a Y around the front porthole window) and presumably has the expanding clip I've seen in some other removal videos.
