Love my '15 Tech FWD that we brought to replace my wife's Civic. It doesn't have the adaptive cruise control that the advanced package has, but that's fine with us. Probably the biggest thing I would knock it for that wasn't mentioned in the video was that I wish the rear doors opened up wider. It makes for general ingress/egress much easier as well as giving you more working room to load/unload kids (because let's me honest, many people are looking to buy this as a mommy wagon). The other thing is that the car hides its speed really well. I have found myself going into a corner by far much hotter than I anticipated, but the car with the 19" Continental tires match up really well and I really haven't gone nearly anywhere near the tire's limits daily driving.

I like Emme's reviews. She has great energy. The MDX doesn't impress me as much. Too small to be a great 3-row crossover, and it's look is not one of beauty. Acura is moving that iron, though. Good seller.

The fun part is getting OUT of that 3rd row. The push button seats are useless if you are parked on an incline.

Parents leased one of these and a new x5- mdx is black and x5 gray. I will say that this is much more comfortable and quiet to ride in especially for the road trips, and I love that it pretty much drives itself. It also looks great in black. X5 is way better to drive though and the interior quality is probably the best of all BMW (and it looks cool at night). Interestingly enough, they both attract the same attention with people saying "how do you like it?" with the Acura, and "nice car!" with the BMW. I honestly will say though that I find myself using this Acura more (unless I'm trying to impress people) because that self-driving feature is real easy to get used especially on long highway drives.

Looks like pretty good space with all of the seats down. Will it take a 4'x8' sheet of plywood?

I have a 2011 MDX and by and large, it's a great family hauler which is pretty decent to drive as well. Other than the ridiculous thirst, one other thing that bugs me is that the second row seats are not a 40-20-40 split which would make it so much easier to carry long items like skis with 4 people in the car which is what we have most of the time. I mean, how difficult is it to have a 40-20-40 split instead of the 40-60 split which means you lose 40% of rear seat space if you want to carry long items on board. It can't possibly cost that much more Acura ?

Emme, much better review than the new Miata one. Specially agree with the center console critique. I was in the market for a new vehicle and the MDX's center console was a big turn off. It looked cramped, tasteless, and turned an otherwise nice cabin into a bunch of cheap gizmos. The car also needs much nicer wheels for all trim levels--I expected you to point that out.

Good video but you guys might want to consider redoing the sound. There were times in the video where I could NOT hear Emmy over the music. 9:20 was the worst, but there were other moments as well.

Hi, Emma.. Well, for a better attention for Acura MDX driver to the road, Acura provide voice command that can set fan speed and many others features to certain speed or temperature or whatever. Unfortunately, here in Kuwait, will I believe you'll not notice what it's rather than where it is without the Iraqi occupation of it, don't have voice command feature at any trims of any Acura cars. However, I believe in Kuwait, we're the first arabic country to have a dealer of Acura in recent years.

TBH, how much space is the gear selector actually saving? They all say that and this takes up as much space as a regular gear changer only difference is it's not sticking up.

I would choose the BMW x5 over this. sure it's more expensive and maintenance is sure to be higher but at least BMW still has a real shifter and idrive is better than ever on current models.

Hey Roman, we really should do some track day review at HPR. Ok I know it is really expensive to rent the whole track. But HPR don't actually get that much people in some track day. And semi-exclusive tune is also not that expensive.

Don't get this car it has a transmission problem I bought my car brand new 2016 advance $60000 After 1 month the transmission started acting weird Took it to the dealer he said there are couple of customers complaining about the same exact thing and that Acure is working on a software update and that was 3 months ago still no update or fix Google :2016 MDX transmission problem Click on one of the links you will see a lot of 2016 MDX owner complaining You will see it for your self

Such cheap looking interior materials for a car that will hit $56K with options, ergonomically challenged/confusing center stack that forces the driver to take too much time off the road to operate, underpowered engine given its size, mediorce fuel economy. The all-new Q7 and Volvo's XC90 literally wipe the floor with this thing when it comes to luxury and technology. The only reason to buy the MDX is when you cannot afford the Q7 / XC90 variants. That Acura interior is horrendous -- the quality would look out of place on a sub-$40000 A4/C-Class. The MDX's styling from the side is also boring imo.
