2016 Alpina D4 Road Trip - London - Nottingham - Wales - London

Alpina UK very kindly gave us a 2016 D4 Coupe and D4 Convertible to play with for a few days. Aaron, Seb, Piro & I decided to take them on a bit of a road trip, the aim was to visit Seb & Piro's old (amazing) school on the south coast of Wales. We covered 500 miles in one long action packed day....
I will do more videos on the D4's soon, I cant stress enough what amazing cars the Alpina D range are, so fast, so special, yet so affordable to buy and run, with outstanding residuals!

I love the synter nottingham place,I mean there can't be many other places you can see so many alpinas next to each other!I think I like the look of the d4 more than the m4!

Hi Joe, loved the video! When you started up the b4, I didn't realise it was the b and not the d. I was like how the hell did they make the diesel sound so good lol. Picked up my 640d eventually on Monday, it looks identical to the one you were filming in front of when you picked up the alpinas. Like you said I wasn't disappointed at all with the speed and the noise in the cabin is just amazing even if it is a bit of fakery I love it! Keep up the good work!

Hello mate, yeah even the most trick exhaust on the planet can't make diesels sound that good... Glad you're loving your 640d, that doesn't surprise me at all! Hope to see it soon... Cheers

Mate I would LOVE to try the new B7, looks like the UK won't be getting any though, Alpina UK need to order a large amount to make it worth while, they're concerned they won't sell all of them... Fingers crossed they Chanel their mind, I might head to Germany and try one there 🖒

+Joe Achilles that's surprised me:) But I guess it's also due to it being in Rhd. My father had a E32 B12 750 and she was a beast. Since moving away from Hailsham area to Moscow I have been lucky to see a few E65 and F01 B7s. My dream is to have a e31 b12. Keep up the cool videos man.

+mattsbeamer this b12 we had was back in the early 1990s and was a G plate. I wish I could find her. I just need to look through the old car documents back in England :)

Great adventure in a couple of top motors. Great video but could have had more shots of the local sheep. Ahhhh to risky to publish eh? I'm looking forward to the Wales trip later in the year. Cheers Joe

Ha good question! I would need to drive one first... The D3 Touring I had with a LSD was definitely the best 3/4 series I've ever driven 👌

Hi Joe great video as alwas, a few quick quastions :) Does D4 means disel and B4 means petrol? Do you know why white D4 don't have M1 and M2 button? And last one do you work for BMW? Cheers :) 👊

Yes exactly, D for Diesel and B for their petrol models. The M buttons are reserved for M cars only (except my M2 doesn't have one haha). I don't work for BMW, BMW UK won't even return my phone calls or emails... I just love most of their products mate 🖒
