I drove a 2015 LTZ from Minnesota to Florida and back. Coming from a 2004 Nissan Maxima (which is an extremely fun car to drive), the Impala is somewhat bigger, but didn't really feel it. The handling was very good. The 305HP V6 was extremely impressive and smooth. Plus, going 75mph down the highway, I was easily getting 32mpg. I will definitely be owning one in the future.

I just bought an Impala. Black on black leather. I love it so far. I miss the blue mood lights that I had on my Malibu and should have gotten a moonroof. However, the vehicle is very smooth, surprisingly quick, and comfortable. It is a grown ups car but not an older persons car. I did not purchase it, but the safety features (collision braking, blind spot alarm, etc..) I found to be awesome. It is really responsive but not enough to confuse you. It is a system that could easily save your life or impede an accident. The backseat is big and comfortable. Huge trunk and it has nice looks to it. I have no regrets and its affordable. Anyone who has sat in the backseat falls asleep within minutes.

I hope you get paid by the car companies for these great, honest reviews. I am currently driving a base 2016 Impala LT (rental -- my SUV got rear-ended), and I LOVE it. Even though it's a base model with "pleather" and the 2.5L I4, I'm still impressed. Most-likely gonna keep my SUV and lease a 2016 Impala LTZ. Consumer Reports loves it too, but your review was so thorough and well-done, you have just about convinced me to get one. You did a great job. Thanks, Alex!

Your automobile reviews are more complete and thorough than anyone else's. I was very impressed by the video shot you did when looking at the center control and you brought the steering wheel buttons over in front of what we were viewing I thought that was kind of cool! You obviously put a huge amount of work and research into your video reviews. I also didn't miss the part where you put the vehicle size review on a measuring stick, some of the things that you have done to change your videos have not gone unnoticed. Thanks! I am currently searching for a new car and have been watching a lot of the car review videos and I have found yours the most useful, you have made it easy for me to narrow down the field and I have been able to do a lot of my shopping from my couch! Thank you thank you thank you and thank you again for all the time and footwork that you have saved me! You will continue to get the thumbs up for me on all of your videos in the future.

When Buick made the lacrosse bigger it appears to me to be more like a dressed up impala. I was considering a Buick lacrosse last year's model but the new year the new model is definitely out of the picture it's just too big.

You reviews are very thorough and detailed. I have been watching them for a couple of years, and I always feel well-informed after watching them! I really like that you compare the car in each review with other competing vehicles, so we can see how they all match up, you give data support why you give a certain letter grade to each area of consideration (suspension, handling, cabin noise, etc). In this review, I like that you mention the interior sound decibels. I would love to see that on more of your reviews! They make several cell phone apps that will check the decibels for you. I also like when you get into some of the technical/mechanical details (suspension/steering geometry, dual clutch vs. regular planetary transmissions, etc). Again, your reviews are outstanding! Please keep up the great work! Happy holidays!

I think you should point out that the LaCrosse and XTS have touch-only controls and for drivers who like to keep their eyes on the road that's always going to be a safety issue. Also, it may not be a big deal in CA, but in other parts of the country it may be cold in the morning and hot by midday, so you need to adjust temperature often. The Impala is the only one with knobs for temp control which is faster than holding up/down buttons to change temperature. I've never found AUTO to work right. Dodge vehicles require you to use the touch-screen and dive into menus to change the vent mode. Chevy and some Fords have dedicated buttons.

Thanks for yet another excellent review. I test-drove a '15 Impala back to back with a Cadillac XTS last summer. The handling difference was noticeable; the Cadillac plowed less in the corners and the front end didn't get as bouncy when going over rough pavement & separation strips. Have yet to try a LaCrosse Premium II (with the HiPer strut suspension), but I suspect it will handle much like the XTS.

Hey Alex, where was I when you posted this Video? I must of been in a coma. Lol. I have my opinion now of the Impala seeing I bought one last Summer 2017 LT and what sold me was so many attributes that this car offers. Some you pointed out. The Super Interior and Trunk space! The quietness and the comfortable ride. The MPG is damn good for a Full sized car, back up camera, Android Auto now with Satellite View Navigation, 4GLTE, Satellite Radio, and that Pano Roof along with the Great styling especially in the optional Red Tint Coat. These were all the things that attracted me to the car. But when I was able to buy it Brand New off the lot with only 13 miles for $25,500 instead of the retail price of $35K I was sold. For the price of a base midsized, or optioned compact car I got a “Real Car” Before I drove this I test drove the new Camry, Malibu, Accord, Civic, Etc. Nothing was a smooth and quiet and pretty as this Impala for cheaper money.

Looking to test drive a V6 Camry the dealer didn't have any in stock, so I test drove the 2016 Avalon and it felt too much like I was borrowing my dad's car: it floated between lanes on the highway. Just got back from a trip over which I had the 2016 LTZ2 Impala as a rental, and I have to say it drove very well. It felt just like my '08 Camry, just with an improved & larger interior.

Just rented one for a week in Florida and it was able to easily handle all of our luggage. Two carry on's, one full size and 4 backpacks. It was also able to handle 5 people and 5 beach chairs easily. The driving dynamics were not the best but I've driven worse. All in all not a bad vehicle although the push button manual shifting is silly. Either use a gated shifter or paddles or just remove it.

This confirms what we've known for 60 years; you simply get more for your money with the Buick. GM spends billions on the platform, and then sells it three different ways. They slather on the glitz in the Caddy and over charge for it, and they decontent the interior in the Chevy and sell it cheap. But in the Buick you get it all for reasonable money. That said, in the competition only one other car has any real character or soul - the Charger. It and the 300 are the only ones that stir any emotions in me.

IMO...your missed wordings and comparisons tell me one thing...the Taurus IS the better car. You steer clear of it in much of your review here...and if you did bring it it, it would win.curious why, when you talk about this cars trunk and rear seat space or even engines, you never bring in the Taurus. It is the better comparison. And the Taurus 4 turbo is better at...everything. FWD vs AWD...always seems to come up in review. But why, really, when comparing these large sedans? Who would ever want the rear to come out when driving? Would 1 percent of the buyers? But 100 percent would want the interior space and weather safety of FWD. Having driven the Taurus in the Ozarks, it handles just terrific on the mountain's curvy roads. To...this car is really a cheap Buick. And it screams it. The side IS the Buick. Taurus wins, especially with the prices in real life. It is always on sale and offers are great.

I Dnt like the impala. I only liked the space but rude and handling choice would be the lacrosse. I heard a bit to much road noise for my liking. Also that steering wheel looks horrible, it's ugly and makes the interior looks cheap and old.

Let's not forget, this car crosses the price boundary of the Hyundai Genesis, which is miles ahead of this turd.

+Nick Scott Yes, a lower end Genesis would be my choice for the same money. They look great in person on the lot.

+Bruno TaTa You are right. There's one parked in front of my house and it looks stunning. I had to do a double-take. It easily blends in the same class as the Germans; even better looking than the 5 series.

+Nick Scott, You're exactly right and the gorgeous looking Genesis even comes with AWD in the V6 and a base price of 39k,.

I don't like this car because to be so big why front wheel drive also is the Chevy its cars are proven to be breaking down after 80000 miles from my experience and I honestly don't like the way it looks

Please stop calling it full size. It's not even as big as a mid size car from the 60's

It's a relative, LaCrosse & Impala are the biggest cars on Buick and Chevy lots.
