Before attempting to do this please match up your spare tire to your wheel stud for proper fit... In this video we will be showing you how to install a spare tire for 2016 dodge caravan tha doesnt come with a spare tire

You might want to invest in some jack stands. Also, there's a bolt under the front that's pretty much the center and you can lift there to get the entire front end off the ground.

And a 2007 spare has a different bolt pattern than a 2016 and won't fit your hub. 2000-2007 was one generation (Mercedes) and 2008-2018 was the next generation (Chrysler). Hubs arw different sizes

Just bought a used 2019 and went looking for the jack - I had a tire pump. My van didn't come with a spare OR jack OR lugnut tool....I'm not sure I could even keep a spare under there if the van wasn't originally equipped.

Same here...we just bought the whole spare tire kit and winch. Now I’m looking how to install it on the vehicle. Can’t believe they sell cars with no spare tires, jacks, winches, etc...they would rather you get an extra MPG than useful equipment.

@@Ricklustt everything needed to hold spare is under the van. What these morons left out is the spare tire cover, which should be there. Mine was,even though not equipped with a spare. The tool is thge female end of a ratchet extension

@@asianmechanicguy6483 yes every gdc has factory installed. If u opt to get from dealership when buying even they provide instead of repair kit.

You might be able to use a 12 point socket to turn the square end of the tire holder - do you know what size it takes?

sorry cant remember what size it is try to watch the video multiple times then pause it then guess the size but for me this tool works perfectly

Why doing hard way you don’t need to use jack only you need extensions and pice of plastic comes with jack set does extensions exactly fit on your screw and you need to tight all the way till click there times then it’s safe.

its easy remove ur tire then install the spare tire if it doesnt fit then u got the wrong spare

I have a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan and I'm facing the same problem. The only spare tire I could find at the junkyard is out of 2010 Chrysler T&C . So do you think its gonna fit ? note : my 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan is stow n go

And if your car didnt have a spare, it also may not have the mechanism that holds the spare in. I bought a 2010 and was flabbergasted to find that Chrysler had made a spare an option. Those cheap bastards. But the thing that raises and lowers the spare is part of the option. I took the one off my 2003 caravan but you will have to buy it from the dealer, a junkyard or Parts Geek.

I think your supposed to just carry a can of fix a flat. And air up compressor inside jack location, since there is no jack or hamdle

hate to break it to you bud, but that tire isnt going to fit on your car. ask me how i know? well because i found out tonight, the hard way. the brake shoe makes it impossible to install a normal sized spare tire... there must be some oversized version you need to get

1. Never get a tire on a junkyard 2. Get all your tools out BEFORE you start lifting the car 3. Don’t lift the car more that an inch (in your case you lifted it out like 2 feet’ jajajaj ja) 4. Don’t use “third party tools” instead the ones factory included” 5. To being honest after I saw all that I stopped watching your video, I didn’t know if the rest was ok. Anyway, I tell you this because of your own and your vehicle safety

Thanks for ur comments brother first of all about the safety thing ..don't worry my customized wooden junkstand ang 3.5ton industrial crocodile jack will help me protected underneath the car ..about the height I don't remember at my school any limit of how you jack ur car in fact at my school we jack up our car as high as 2.5 feet in order to pull a tranny i understand ur concern but dont worry... i guess im experience enough to do this kind of job ...6 years in the business bro.. but any way thanks for ur comments and concern ..mucho gracias hermano..
