I went with a regular cab and kinda wish I went with a super cab. But not having a $500 payment is nice

10/11/16. I live in San Juan, PR. I have been considering a similar truck, XL 4x2 ecoboost, sport appearance pkg, back up camera, rear sensors, sprayed in liner, side steps to name a few. All part of a special pkg by Ford for just under $34,000. What I'd like to know from any one that owns the truck, is how does it really perform on the road, and how is the fuel economy of the ecoboost? What do you like best and what not so much? Thanks in advance.

I have the 2.7 EcoBoost (2WD) in my truck and on two interstate trips it got 27mpg at cruise controlled 66mph. It has PLENTY of power when you put your foot down and will actually outrun the 3.5 EcoBoost doing 0-60. It is a great choice if you never plan to tow more than 7000lbs.

I think you would be happy with the 2.7. Presently, my towing is limited to about 1500lbs and I can't even tell there's a trailer when going.

Update. On 10/18/16 I got the 2016 2.7 XL super cab with sport appearance package in Blue Flame. RIght now 925 miles and getting accustomed to it. Added an extended warranty 6/100k with PFCU for only $995. Getting 19.6 mpg avg for now. Here in PR most traffic could be considered city even during highway driving so not that bad. The final price with taxes was $33200 out the door. Excise tax in PR is about $4000 for that model.

Hi Ivan. Which dealer did you get the truck at? Saw same f150 going for $39K. How's it been so far?

I thought the 2.7 wasn't available in 4wd

shylildude the 2.7 is indeed available with 4WD. And the 2.7 is a screamer - I have it in my truck.
