The sixth-generation Ford Mustang is an amazing automobile that boasts a flat plane crank v8 engine and a raucous exhaust note that's sure to turn heads. There are a couple of other ways to tell a gt350 and a gt350r apart. At least from the factory. The shelby badge on a gt350r is red, like on this one, where as its a white/grayish on the normal gt350 (excluding the heritage package gt350 and gt350rs that were made whose badges were guardsman blue) and the gt350 has black pin stripes along the larger vinyl stripes (on cars with the the stripes added of course) and the gt350r has red pin stripes instead. Obviously, it's not a big deal and are the easiest things to change to make a gt350 look like an R, but I figured I'd mention it! Great video, as always! *edited to the correct color for the badges of the heritage package. Original said gtabber blue but its actually guardsman blue*

Even though im not a Mustang fan, I absolutely love the GT350! It's one of the all-time great American muscle cars! It's iconic and seriously could compete with Europens around the track and driving experience. Thar v8 engine is glorious! Great video, as always, Kennan!

My husband bought a '20 GT350 in October '23 with 2400 miles...mint shape. We sent it to Texas to Hennessey and it put down 826 rwhp. Its an absolute reaper of souls on the highway. Add the 6 Spd Tremec, the Voodoo 8,250 redline, all in metalic red w/black stripes...sublime! The car goes and sounds like King Kong....its an absolute monster!

The 2019 and 2020 GT350s came with some improvements to the motor--upgraded block, porting, and other internal improvements, and the 2020Rs came with steering components from the GT500--like the steering knuckle to eliminate tramlining. I have a 2020 Heritage R and it looks and drives amazing. Great review BTW!

The voodoo V8 is one of the coolest engines ever made. To my knowledge, it's the only flat plane crank V8 with an uneven firing order.

Bought my GT350 in January this year and I can’t imagine selling it. Such a special experience every time you get in. It has everything a car enthusiast could dream of - incredible engine, great trans, decent handling… what more could you ask for?

@@ctknetwork3008 Truth be told, I haven’t pushed it to the limits in the corners, but steering input is pretty direct and has a good weight to it. Riding over cracks and bumps in the road, you can definitely feel the car reacting through the steering wheel.

I work at a dealership and I’ve been fortunate enough to drive some cool stuff. We got one of these in over the summer and it’s literally only one of five cars where I got out instantly and thought “Holy shit I want this”, the engine and transmission are just sensational.

Mark my words: The GT350 will be worth more than a GT500 of the same model year in twenty years' time because of that glorious N/A Voodoo engine, 6 speed, and limited production run. I'm currently working my ass off to be able to get a GT350 at some point. They're such an amazing vehicle!

Carroll would have been so proud of this car had he lived to see it. A vehicle truly deserving of the Shelby badge.

God, I want one of these. I'm not a huge Mustang guy, but this car is just something else. I do like mustangs, and I own a foxbody, but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy newer ones except for these. That engine's sound brings tears to mah eyes like a pound of onions being cut with a dull knife.

I think people undervalue how similar you are to Doug’s style and mannerisms. I enjoy seeing the similarities but I also want Kennan to shine through and see how you are as a host. This episode did well at highlighting some of that and I hope to see more of it in the future. Great job! Love this car! Wish I could drive one around for a while. When they released, I was just a bit late to the party.

don't buy a gt350 out of warranty, you are signing yourself up for a 30k invoice when that motor decides to give up, 2019 on my second motor at 30k miles

One thing ive always thought to be funny is the gt350r owners trying to tell gt350 owners their car is completely different, nothing was done suspension or engine wise and it was all small cosmetic items. the Gt350 is and will always be the better buy.

The GT350 may rock in a straight line, but what’s it like in the turns? One of the deficiencies of C&B and DdeM road tests is that they hardly ever take cars on twisty roads or tracks. If you really want to compare the Mustang with the GT3, that’s what you should have done here.

There a million reviews and opinions on how GT350 turns on KZfaq. They are catering to 99% of the buyers will never take it on track and street drive it only . You want them to rent out a track or drive dangerously up a mountain? The logistics, time and money aren’t worth it for them. For gods sake use some common sense

It really is a location problem. San Diego is about an hour from anything decent, and sometimes owners don't want us to disappear all day with their car. We want twisty roads too!

I have a '19 GT350, the difference between it and an "R" is that I don't buy a $4,000 dollar rim every time I hit a pothole and about 1/10th of a second 0-60 mph.

Hi Kennan, you keep bringing the good stuff alright, and this is no exception, I've been in love with the Mustang since I saw the 60's Mark I and this incarnation, well, what a beast of a car, You really need to be careful with these things because before you know it you are riding a rumble from hell and no matter what anybody can think or say, I'd go with that engine music for thousands of miles for sure. I was in high school when ford announced the performance line up of cars… focus RS, Shelby gt350, Raptor, and the GT. I wasn’t able to afford a gt350 at the time, so I got a focus RS. Unfortunately, I missed my opportunity to get a gt350 when they went out of production. So I ended up getting a Mach 1 Handling package. It drives just like the Shelby but has more low end torque…. But still, the gt350 is legendary

Hmm...slower than a Model 3 Performance which can also hold more people comfortably. At this point I don't even see the point of the Dark Horse since it's slower than a 4 door family sedan. It's like Ford isn't even trying. All that NVH to go slower than a basic economy car.
