The manual calls for 80 weight gear oil, but I used amsoil atv differential fluid. (Basically a gear oil. )

@@Whitestrash Awesome man, glad I read the comments cause I was curious about Amsoil differential fluid! Does the Amsoil hold up better than OEM? Can you tell a difference in any way?

I can't say i notice a difference. But I'd bet that almost any reputable synthetic would outlast the oem fluid. Honda does not make any of their fluids, they have someone else make it to their specs. Cost is likely a bigger factor than quality to any oem.

@@Whitestrash Very true! Thanks man. I wondered myself who is making Honda’s oils. Guarantee it’s some common name like Valvoline or Lucas, but who knows. Amsoil gives me piece of mind, so I’ll stick to it. Lol! I’m going to try their engine oil on the next round as well. Just bought a 2017 Rancher and a 2017 Recon for the wife and I. We’re stoked!!
