I just had my 2019 gc limited x lifted with the RC 2.5 inches suspension lift not the spacer. Wow let me tell uall my jeep is so smooth u can't even tell is lifted. Next step tires I'll use the stock rims

I already have the 2" rough country leveling kit that I'm going to put in, can I use this size of tires WITHOUT the wheels spacers without rubbing issues? or are the spacers required? 2014 GC limited, stock 18" wheels too

Looks great. Exactly what I am looking to do to mine - avoid cutting and trimming wheel wells while “Jeeping it up” a bit Thanks for sharing details on spacers and resulting ride and noise with the set-up as that is reason Jeep has sold millions of these - capability and comfort. Thanks for sharing. Was wondering if you could get same results with simply using rough country level kit in front - did you learn anything about that as you were doing your research? Are the Falkens LT or P metric?
@MiketheBIC3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! No, I really didnt research the leveling kit as my Jeep has almost 80k miles. So, I knew it was time for shocks and struts anyway.

Great video, I’m looking at the same tire size with the RC 2.5” front lift spacers on some 18x8 wheels. Have you had any rubbing at all?

I did have some, but it was only the 'carpet". Nothing major...

Finally somebody posted a video on this. I got the RC spacer lift and ive been doing a lot more trailer riding. Im coming up on close to 70k and starting to look into changing out shocks and springs. I have this RC kit but havent seen or heard anyone speak of them. It was either going to be this or BILSTEIN 5100s with HEMI WK2 springs. What is your opinion on the RC kit? Have you been on the trail with them, does it soak up the bumps pretty good? Thanks for the video and any further info! Jeep looks great.
@MiketheBIC3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah, thats why I posted. So, overall, Im happy. One of the front drivers strut assemblies started rattling pretty bad. Took it to shop and the said it was strut. RC QUICKLY made it right though, and I got it switched out. I did take it on a trail with some pretty decent climbs. Did great overall, but the back was a little "clunky". Im going to let them wear in and try again!

May I get an update on your lift, how is it on your vehicle now? Any issues please? Before I purchase this 2.5 strut suspension lift for my 2019 keep GC

Such an awesome stance but any recommendations on any other kits? I'm really wanting to do this to my Laredo.

Thanks! Yes, I think the stance is nailed. Honestly, no other experiences with other kits, but I'd go with any other rather than Rough Country.

Have you tried the setup without the spacers to see if there was any rubbing? I have a 2.5" lift on my wk2 with stock 18s & was thinking of going w/275s but no spacers.
@MiketheBIC3 жыл бұрын
I didnt try without spacers. I felt that the wheels sat too far in the wheel, and would detract from the intended look.

Did you get the same size for your spare tire? If you did, does the spare still fit in the back without relocating it? This is the size I'm looking at as well but wasn't sure if I would have to relocate the spare tire
@MiketheBIC2 жыл бұрын
I actually didn't because it wouldn't fit in the well. I figured if I needed it, I would just take it very easy....
@MoonlightPUB3 жыл бұрын
Hey one question, is it possible not installing the preload spacer? Just the top spacer? Would it help to keep a better soft drive?
@MiketheBIC3 жыл бұрын
You definitely have that option. I knew I needed new struts and shocks, so I went this way.
@marceloliendo11463 жыл бұрын
Hey man what about the sway bar end links, I have a 2.5inch lift with 1.5mm spacers on 285 tires but my sway bars end links still going down I have replace them 4 times already, do you have the same problem with the sway bars?
@MiketheBIC3 жыл бұрын
I haven't had any issues there.

Do you really need the spacer??? I’m trying to do the exact same lift and tires but honestly I prefer not use spacers unless is really necessary thanks and advance and good video
@MiketheBIC11 ай бұрын
Yes, the spacers were necessary to prevent rubbing.
@giovannimitreski84783 жыл бұрын
How much room for bigger tires do you have cause I have the kit just never installed it looking for tires
@MiketheBIC3 жыл бұрын
There is literally no more room as set up. I had to bend the pinch weld back and it's still very close.
@kayakdude833 жыл бұрын
Did you update your spare as well? Did the new larger tire fit?
@MiketheBIC3 жыл бұрын
I did not do my spare. My thoughts were that I could get where I needed with the stock spare, if I used a lot of caution
@mohamedelsheikh90503 жыл бұрын
It's a must to have the wheels spacers after lifting or doesn't matter & won't harm & if it is must what do you recommend for 20" a spacer with 1.5" or 2" & which brand? Thanks for your time
@MiketheBIC3 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I just sort of guessed with my spacers, and it turned out good. I really don't know about the tolerances for the larger rims.
@INvertPb4Life Жыл бұрын
You’re better off buying offset wheels than spacers

Sir can you show me which lift kit is that from website I am trying to purchase it
@MiketheBIC3 жыл бұрын
I would, but I've gotten where I don't recommend this kit. I had one replaced, and they have very hard jolts on normal potholes, etc.

Without the spacers will there be any rubbing?
@MiketheBIC6 ай бұрын
Yes, spacers are required.
@alexhill8283 жыл бұрын
I seen that you do not recommend this lift? Why?
@MiketheBIC3 жыл бұрын
I had one faulty strut. They did replace, but its not an easy job. Secondly, let's say I drive slowly off of a curb or do some very light off roading: the system seems to bottom out hard on even the smallest obstacles.

@@MiketheBIC Thank you. I was leaning towards the Michellin Defender LTX M/S2 but I had Falken Wildpeak AT3 in my previous car and they were great but for me it dropped around 2-3 mpg. DO NOT get the Rough Country kit that comes with the N3 Shocks and struts (SKU#91430). Get the plain spacer kit (SKU#60300)! I installed the shock/strut kit on my 2016 GC Limited, and those struts and shocks are junk. I just bought a 2021 Limited X, and I installed the plain spacer kit. Way cheaper, and no shock, strut, or spring issues. Rough Country shocks are not as good as they were 25 years ago. They are junk.
