Wow sounds nice, neighbors might not think so. How does it sound when the MDS kicks in? In cab not bad, quiet enough in you stay off it.

Neighbours haven't said anything in the past year the exhaust has been installed, it's actually very easy to keep it quiet when you want it to be. Around 1:33 is when the MDS kicks on from the outside it still sounds fine and yeah the in cab sound isn't bad at all unless you're really putting your foot into it.

Thinking about buying this muffler for my truck.how does it sound.is there any drone in the cab.how about when mds kicks in and out.

+Jeff Esliger The drone isn't bad at all, it's very slight and easy to modulate. It's not that noticeable when MDS kicks in and out with this muffler, I know I'm some mufflers it sounds like a helicopter when MDS kicks in.

My tundra dosnt sound any like that with 12198 magnaflow.

Who did the install for the exhaust.how much did it cost.and was it a direct fit

+Jeff Esliger I had a local muffler shop weld it in, the muffler was about $130 and the install was $90. It's a lot shorter than the stock muffler so they had to weld some pipe in but it was a direct fit aside from that.

I went based on exhaust size and inlet position, then wanted the shortest one for the most sound.

Magnaflow is a better quality muffler and gives a smoother sound with less drone

It is yeah, it's actually pretty mellow unless you're flooring it. Even then it has a nice growl and isn't overbearing. Keep in mind that the camera was mounted right to the tailgate in those outside shots which is why it sounds so loud at the start.

This was a great presentation of the sound. Same one on my truck and love it, love it, love it.. Grabs lots of compliments on the sound and can't believe how much better it sounded after broken in... Great video.
