A beautiful machine! I don't know why they are not sold in U.S. Saab Scania has always been a frontier in trucking advancement and technology even an arm and leg taller than Volvo. U.S. truckers are really missing out the joy of driving an excellent truck brand and guess they are forced to stick to old technology by driving the old school truck brands with very old conservative tech.

Hi. I see 3 axle trucks in your video , some of them have the second and some the third axle lifted Have you any video that expane the differences and the + / - of each set up ? I quess the cornering is better when the lifted axle is 3rd , but the stability is better when is 2nd Like the blue scania you are showing

Lots of nice features, to have

i believe that the predecessor of this truck is the R500, cause the R560 is more the predecessor of the previouse 580. Also the 6x2 definition is correct but you are seeing it wrong...the first number is the amount of wheels, and the second one is the number of wheels with tracion. And not the total of single wheels. If you notice a truck like ath but with both back axles with tracion and double wheels is 6x4 as well...and not 6x8 if we follow your line of fought. :) then it can be single or double wheel but doesn`t affect the initials. Anyway, nice video...very ggod quality, understandable even for a foreigner like me and very nice and detailed info...(apart from tath mistake eh eh eh).Hope you don`t mind my rectificacion.My intencion is to help and enlight, because together we are stronger and our knoledge superior. Hopefully you will understand my english...See ya 1like; 1share ;)

best function is the up hill assistance as some of the automatic gearbox has some delay and the truck rolls back about a meter or so !

can it break the engine when you are trying to slow down on both retarder and exhaust brakes at the same time for long time and high speed???can they blow the engine if they are used in extreme situations if your brakes not working and you try to stop the truck on the hill only with them?

Fire alarm, does this mean you can't smoke ? I think front axle lifting looks sleeker and sexier. Even so - looks quite lightly trimmed...I was expecting more space and luxuries inside.

On stage 5 it also utilises engine brake, that's why it's so strong.

I didn't knew trucks had fridges well done scania there actually the only thing missing from trucks is a shower and a cooker lol if it had a shower and a cooker it's a home properly !! Well done though I love scania trucks
