Great video specific to this Jetta model. Most models have the topside torx screws, this one is tricky with the two hidden screws on the bottom. Thanks a million for debunking the puzzle.

It should just be flip a couple of clamps, remove lid, remove filter, replace lid, flip a couple of clamps, right! Two screws???.

I don't understand why he is disconnecting all the hoses. All you have to do is take all the screws off from the top and disconnect the secondary intake hose and life up the top and take the filter out and put the new one in. Screw it back down reconnect the secondary intake and done

What size are the torqx bits

He doesn't mention it but there are ball sockets holding the air box to the engine and make it hard to pull up. I broke one getting frustrated trying to finesse it and just snatched it.

The 2.5 Jetta air filter replacement is even worse. A royal pain.
