Some consider the GLI a guised up Jetta, but I think its more so a different form factor of the famed GTI. A perfect blend of refinement, enjoyment, features and value! Check out my walkaround and POV drive and you be the judge!

You are 100% correct! And in the Tornado Red color makes it really stand out. This is one of Volkswagen best designs in years!

Dripping!! It's called Tornado Red. A staple paint color in the VW community. A shade of red only offered on very specific models and this one shines in it!! Glad you enjoyed!!

I miss cruising back and forth along I-20. Maybe I should FINALLY visit Atlanta. I don't have a GLI, but my Jetta does have the 1.8T so the experience could be similar.

I absolutely love my 2017 GLI. I bought it four years ago in Marietta. It's surprisingly quick and fun to drive. Great video!

Hate mine. Blew up twice. Dealer & VWAG fucked me both times. Now it’s sitting in my back yard with a 3 inch hole in the back of the block. I loved driving it but the shitty reliability & the way I was treated means I’ll never buy another VW.

Nice work with this review, Chad! The GLI, especially these gently pre-owned models, pose a rather impressive value on the used market. As always, your commentary was spot on, and I thoroughly enjoyed the aspects that you included within this review. Engine specs, interior overview, highway pull, and even a stereo system highlight. NICE JOB!! Also, this GLI seems like it has quite a bit of GET-UP-AND-GO!!! Especially for a Turbo-4 that supposedly produces "207 lb-ft". Lolll! The Germans love understating their vehicles' true potentials. 😂👍🏼 Looking forward to what you have coming up next, man! 🙌🏽

Thank you so much for watching! You are absolutely correct too! This was a bargain new, and an even better bargain on the used car market. I didn't even touch on some of the other more detailed features it has, but it offers plenty for the money!!

Actually it's a gen 3 motor, and 2014 was the first year to have 210hp. The ones before had gen 1 motor with 200hp.

The Jetta has always had a since of refinement when it comes to the performance, but you can’t beat that VTEC from the Civic Si. Japanese performance gives it a little more raw and unfiltered

I love how these companies all speak to different demographics for sure! The new Si lost some of that screaming rawness once they added a Turbo, but it's still a fun little car!

My 2016 Gli spanks all the civic si even tbe new ones. Great car qwik. Handles great. I think its pullin more than 210 hp. Feels like they underrated it
