At a meeting of the ‘Ramana Maharshi Foundation UK’ on 8th July 2017, Michael James discusses what Bhagavan Sri Ramana taught us about silence and its power, and then answers questions on this subject and other aspects of his teachings, particularly the practice of self-investigation (ātma-vicāra).

"See Yourself" without any focus on & awareness of the word "See" & "Yourself" "You Are That" is a pointer towards "What" you need to focus on, without any focus on and awareness of the word "What" & "You" & "Are" & "That". These words are phantoms without true substance, give no focus to these words, just be aware of Pure Awareness, and totally let go of all pointers towards Pure Awareness, and that includes the phantom pointer-words "Pure" & "Awareness". Do not catch a hold of "IT", do not cling to "IT", but only Feel that Pure Awareness, and then even let go of the phantom pointers "Pure" & "Awareness" and then even let go of "Feel". Note: EGO catches a hold of something & EGO clings to something, to Phantoms,, so Do Not act as Ego, or the Ego will remain & create another Phantom that you will think that it is "Your Pure Self". So Do Not cling to the Phantom Thought of who you are, but let go and just "feel" & BE Awareness!. 🙏🙏🙏 Michael, these teachings are Priceless! You are Priceless!

Unless you are very lucky ( or fully ' enlightened) then the mind is usually full of empty chatter . Michael's words are like a mantra . While he is speaking ( and particularly when he is in full flow ) the mind is filled with spiritual knowledge . That in itself will purify the mind so that it can melt into the Heart . If Michael's words were just coming from his intellect then they might just be chatter ( even spiritual chatter ) but Michael's words quite clearly come from the Heart . Listening to his words in the dark it is as if ' Gid' is talking to me directly . Of course when I say Michael's words , mostly these are Bhagavan's words and therefore they have to be potent 🕉️.
