The thing I love about kei cars is just how well they work for Japan. They have the potential to be as unique as their owners. If you don't have a garage, are a brand new driver and want a no fuss first car experience? Kei car. If you're looking for a practical family vehicle, nothing more nothing less? Kei car want a lightweight turbo AWD? Kei car want a car that's as customizable as your phone? Kei car. want a sports car thrill without the sports car price tag? Kei car. Need a fleet of fuel efficient cargo movers for your upstart business? Kei car. Want a camper van but nothing too excessive? Kei car. They're so versatile, so multifunctional it's almost unbelievable. A nicely designed, well though out car. Shame things like this generally aren't sold outside Japan. They would go a long way to solving congestion.

Wheelbase and safety features are the two things that made this car a Japan-only exclusive: -The car has an extremely small wheelbase which would result in horrible bodyroll when turning at high speeds (as in, 30km/h and above). -Kei cars, to cut down price, actually sacrificed safety features you would normally see even the cheapest cars have on the International market, although this may not be a problem since safety features nowadays don't cost as much as back then.

Farie Indriawan also the engine would need to be bigger so they could have a bigger nose so when you are involved in a crash, the floor won't buckle as much.

No it ain't the alto 800 we get here in India is 2 inches wide and 2,3 inch long than the Japanese ones in japan you got specific width, height and length which is standard where as in India all sorts of length, height and width available for the same prize .

Very professionally done demo. I got the impression front passenger leg room was quite limited? Also surprised that Honda hasn't gone to Digital readouts on instrument panel.

I can't speak about this cars head on crash capabilities but a TV programme in the called Fifth Gear did crash a smart car into a concrete barrier and the passenger compartment was intact. They concluded internal injuries would have killed the occupants so the car was capable of protecting passengers beyond what humans can survive.

I would drive this if i had the chance to do so. But as a European it would cost a lot of money to import it, and to then get it approved for the road. It looks great for what it is.
