I think that is a poor critique, remember it's ice hockey in Australia. They get a few thousand fans a game, so there is nothing wrong with this facility. It look the same as smaller or collegiate arenas in Canada.

It's my opinion lol. From experience, a "bowl" style just is better. I've watched and played in bad arenas and the feel of the game is so much different when you're surrounded as opposed to everyone being pushed to the side...If that makes sense.

Maybe not the best for spectating but at least the ice and the facilities that matter are good: 2 ice surfaces , plenty of changing rooms , cafe, bar , gym

True but if you looked at the end the entire venue was packed even in the standing sections

cnon I know I’m a year late, but no. Beer league games in Canada are way more competitive than this. And that’s with average joes playing after work while they are hammered drunk.
