@@sundaydulu7817 yes they do. When they drive between stages (yes, they drive themselves to the stage), the car is on normal (aka civilized) mode. It's easier for them to oblige to the traffic rules. And I don't mean just with speed, but easier driving at lover speed/start-stop situations too. On race mode gearbox is so agressive that if they would start the car with less than half of gas, engine would stal... they have to flat shift to save wearing the clutch. flat shift up and hard on brake to down shift.

I would imaging it would've been loud. They are even louder this year.
