You asked who this day and age needs a radio when we have Senas… Cardos, whatever. I’m about to buy this bike, and I’ll tell you why I’m excited about the radio… I’m constantly charging my brand new Bluetooth, because I take my Africa Twin on long rides, and music is hard to hear (with the JBL upgraded speakers in one of my helmets) and it destroys battery. In all 3 of my units. The package says 8-14 hours music… nope, more like 4 hours music, 4 hours talk.
@Peeohtrek2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like there might be something wrong with your Sena. Mine lasts 9 hours easy. And the music is loud and crisp. It’s not even on max volume. Congrats on the new bike, I hope you have many, great rides. Cheers.
@MaartensTravels7 жыл бұрын
You can pair your Sena SMH5, 10 or even 10s or 20s to the onboard radio. It comes with Bluetooth. To make the radio switch to Bluetooth, simply turn off the speakers via the bike's menu (not mute). That way you can listen to the radio using your headset.

Thanks, I'll give it a try next time i'm out riding ob that bike. Cheers!

That's my bike! Great review. I also came to the RT after a dual purpose bike (2013 R1200GS) so I completely relate to your comments about the panniers and bars, but you get used to the bike real quick.
@Peeohtrek7 жыл бұрын
+2WheelSolo Exactly, it only seems strange because you're used to a different placement. In no way is it bad or uncomfortable. It becomes the norm very quickly.

what about vibrations on this bike? is it at the highway revs or lower? thank you
@Peeohtrek2 жыл бұрын
I must say that they year's boxer engine wasn't very vibey, from what I remember. At lower RPMs I remember is tended to shake a little but once you got up in the higher RPMs it smoothed right out.

What is the location of that white expansion bridge that you crossed in the video?

Thank you for the video. How does the torque compare to your adventure bike? thanks- Colby
@Peeohtrek6 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Compared to my last two bikes (KLR and F800GSA) it's a monster. It just pulls! Compared to a 1200GS, It's very similar. 125HP on Both. The beauty with these boxer engines is that you can load them up with gear and it hardly makes a difference. Cheers!

I recognize all the areas you drove through. I haven't driven over that new Burgoyne bridge yet. I assumed (for some reason) that you were of Polish descend but when I saw you getting a 24 of beer flavoured water, I changed my mind (just kidding lol cheers).

I like 'em heavier beers but my own brother (flesh and blood) drink Corona so I should make fun of anyone drinking not so heavy beers. When I get a KLR I will let you know. Perhaps we can take a ride along lake Erie to Erie, Pa.

Where is this? Flat as hell but looks like a very nice area. Southern PA here and just bought an like new 2017 RT. Maybe the finest bike in the world.

Hello, I bought mine a month ago, is 2017 , but is keyless, honestly I prefer with key but here in Mexico the R1200RT is keyless since 2016
@Peeohtrek7 жыл бұрын
We have had the keyless ride for a while also.This particular bike was a demo at our local dealership. It was missing the keyless and gear shift assist. Still great though.
@HarleyBreakoutGuy7 жыл бұрын
Same in Australia it's keyless.

This is a great review. Your funny; and i love that the bike can hold a 24 pack! lol. What is dynamic mode?
@Peeohtrek7 жыл бұрын
Colby Stewart Dynamic mode is one of the riding modes the bike comes with. the others being Road and Rain. Since the bike is Ride by Wire you can have different throttle response modes. in Dynamic mode you get instant throttle response. In the Rain mode you get a more gradual and controlled throttle response. Road mode is somewhere in the middle. Also, thanks for the kind words.
@2WheelSolo7 жыл бұрын
Dynamic is insane. I ride the bike on 'Road' which is the slightly more 'laid back' mode. Put the bike into dynamic you not only get immediate throttle response but it changes the suspension settings to make them stiffer as well as adjusting traction control and ABS setups. It makes the bike much more aggressive. Personally dynamic scares the hell out of me :)

Can you overtake on the double yellow lines, where the axe man passed you?
@Peeohtrek6 жыл бұрын
I heard that in Ontario the double line acts as a suggestion... but I'm not sure 100%.
@CODK-nb6mw6 жыл бұрын
Peeohtrek can't cross any solid white lines in UK, double white lines in centre of road can't be crossed.

Honestly, for the longest time I thought that that was also the case here in Canada. Recently someone told me otherwise... This individual was not someone who seemed familiar with traffic laws. Hence my confusion.
