I LOVE that you added this type of visual element to your budget. I think this will help people see how their behaviors are affecting their budget such as spending all your money right after you get paid or spending the most money on weekends or saturdays. Then, you can adjust accordingly, have a no spend Saturday if that's your typical high spend day. I think I'm going to do the same thing and maybe have written in pencil the amount I have left for each category on the side. Love this idea so much. Thank you!!

I always start with like a journal and planner and all that and it goes good for about a week, maybe two, but then I just get busy or forget or say I'll do it later, and a year later I'm like darn. Maybe this year I can stay on track 😂

You could use the dotted/grid page for your monthly budget if the order bothers you! I'm not sure yet how I"m gonna set mine up. January didn't work out so well so I will be changing it for next month! Hopefully I work out the kinks by December haha! Thanks for the ideas!

I really like your setup!! It's all in one place. Currently I'm using a 3 ring binder with budgeting sheets and debt tracker sheets. But it's heavy and can't fit in my purse lol. Thanks for the ideas!!

Yay! I bought the budget planner insert for my Happy Planner and I too can't wait to get it prepped for January budget! Speaking of budget, do you know if they sell those flagged paper clips in Michael's as well I do the clip system as well, but I would prefer to sue paper clip type of clips, not binder clips.

How do I budget for the next month when I'm not sure what my checks will be?

Start with the bills that need to get paid...That is pretty constant, right? Food, shelter, gas, cell phone bill... start there and when a check comes in, pay the essentials first. We all have to live someplace, we all eat, and most of us have a car so that needs gas in it. Go from there...if you have surplus, start a saving account or an emergency fund for unexpected costs... Give to it every month if you can. It adds up... Good luck!!! XOXO
