I think he is trying to appeal to buyers who possibly can't afford the top of the line trims. He is helping many potential buyers realize that you can have comfort, quality and luxury (to an extent) without breaking the bank; kinda smart if you think about it. It could definitely help boost subscribers. BTW, the Volvo XC90 as your prof pic, LOVE IT! I've got buyers remorse after purchasing the XC90 T6 a year before the refresh! Same thing happened with my iPhone 6S+. Purchased it the month before the 7 smh. O_O

Its_Ya_Boi120 I traded a 2015 Durango Citadel AWD on my 2017 XC90 T6 R-Design. The base SXT Durango is a rental fleet value at best. The older Limited and new GT trims hit the sweet spot for value and amenities. Buying the cheapest trim level of a vehicle makes you grit your teeth every time you drive past a higher trim with better options than yours. I don't understand the mentality of buying the absolute cheapest car trim level just so you can say you own one. FYI....I love my R-Design.

there are others reviewing the GT. I am glad to see the base model reviewed because that's what I was looking for after becoming a mom (well plus a few more perks). If i wanted a sports car, I'd stick with my fully loaded charger lol.

There's only 2 direct competitors to the 4Runner, The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and the Nissan Xterra.

Matthew is correct, there are very few competitors for the 4Runner. The reason being is that the 4Runner is body-on-frame and doesn't match up well with other vehicles like the Grand Cherokee or the Pathfinder. At this point, the Wrangler is one of the only competitors left (if not THE only, correct me if I'm wrong), because the Xterra has been discontinued. It is a quickly dying segment as more vehicles offer better fuel efficiency with adequate offroad-ability but still being able to haul the family and toys around. The Tahoe/Yukon range however are making a comeback since the refresh, which is largely due to the increased technology, comfort and ESPECIALLY the MPG! I loved my 05 Suburban that I bought new, but boy was it a gas guzzler. Amazing V8 though which hasn't been matched in the new models, although its obvious why it wasn't brought back since I always averaged 14 C/H O_O

You called it the worst 3 row SUV on the market i don't care what the pathfinder gives you, all i know is that when i looked to buy a new car the pathfinder wasn't even on my list because of poor reviews and reliability for 40k i was out the door with power lift gate, beats speakers, 4 heated seats and wheel, sunroof, nav, power front seats in the Durango. the pilot explorer MDX Q7 and LR4 couldn't match it

danny kelly see the reason why im saying that your argument doesnt make sense is because im comparing a base model durango sxt to a base model pathfinder S. Base model pathfinder offers more than anybody on the market right now! If youre leasing the car like i am right now, you dont really care about the reliability of the car, everything is under warranty for the period of your leasing agreement.
