Можете говорит что хотите,но артистизм у Евгении ни можете отобрать.Она единственная фигуристка за которой интересно наблюдать и она доказывает что Фигурное катание это не только спорт.Я уважаю других фигуристок,но все они мелькнут по сравнению Медведевой.Поетому она до сих пор получает очень высокие оценки за компоненты.Сейчас у нее переломный момент,но она еще докажет что она лучшая.Я верю в это.

I love figure skating very much. I do respect Yuna Kim and know that she is a greatest figure skater of all times. I also respect Michelle Kwan, Irina Slutskaya, Kiira Korpi and other figure skaters! But I do not understand people, who think that putting bad comments about Evgenia or other skaters will make Yuna more popular or loved. She is popular and loved, and I am sure, Yuna Kim would never say such a horrible things about other skaters. People who really love figure skating will always remember Yuna as one of the greatest athletes! Dear fans! One day there will be other figure skaters, who will break Evgenia' s record, and this is normal! These athletes work hard from the age of 3, so please have some respect and don't spread your jealousy and hate on you tube! Thank you!

Medvedeva - the SHAME of RUSSIA! The athlete wears indecent clothing for performances in other countries, performs indecent movement, and after looking at her for our children! It should be planted in the corruption of minors, if the article is saved! Behaves like a disgrace! Hung in front of everyone on the Japanese figure skater, bitch podzabornaya. I love Yuna Kim, she is unbelievable, tender, has her own style. I was upset when Yuna has not got her gold medal in Sochi and actually stopped watching women's performance when she left. How happy I am now, when appeared Yevgenia! She is unbelievable, like ballet on ice. I wish her all the best and long career in sport. Adelina and Yulia were quite good, but they never were as good as Yevgenia.

She is an incredible skater. I was lucky enough to see her last year at the world championships in Boston and she was amazing. She skates far beyond her years in age.

As an skater myself I actually really like watching her skate, I don't know why people can be so mean and hate on her, if you don't like her style of skating it's okay, everyone has their own likes, but you can't deny she is actually very good. There's no point in comparing her to other skaters cause they all skate differently, for example one of my favorite skaters was Alissa Czisny ,and they have completely different skating techniques and artistry, that doesn't make neither of them better than the other just different. Evgenia is only 17 years old, she has a lot to learn and to practice, she still needs to be forged. Yes, I'll admit that her lutz was a little in the wrong edge, and her salchow was a little tight but overall her performance was quite good, I personally like her hand movements and positions on her jumps which is quite difficult, and she even does most of her jumps in the second half of the program which is also an extremely challenging thing to do. I'll never get why people will minimize someone hard work just because they didn't like it, if you didn't like it its completely fine, but I bet Evgenia worked her ass off and trained for hours and hours and sacrificed a lot of things to be able to skate the way she does. As an skater, I know how many falls, tears, bruises, you'll get so... no matter how bad someone does on the program , no matter if i didn't like the choreography or the score system, I will always recognize every single skater I see. I wish/ hope we can all act/think like this.

I also love her Ex's...Wonderfully innovative and beyond anything that any others are doing...And the there is a new video out of a new performance that displays her doing a TT that consists of a Rippon, followed by her trademark Tano...Done easily, apparently without flaw although it is an Ex, with a excellent transition out of it...Her transitions out of her jumps have always been exceptional...Take a look at it...

No. Just stop. She isn't the "best" yet. Sure, jumping multiple triples with the arm aloft is a feat but you people need to stop with the over exaggeration. Anyone can tell that Yuna's jumps were much more fluid and had the best running edge compared to anyone else's. Not just that, Yuna and Mao's choreography sequence and step sequence is yet to be beat. These legends just got overthrown by jumps and nothing else. Don't get me wrong. I admire this young girl for doing all these difficult combinations especially with her arms aloft most of the time, but as a spectator, Yuna's programs were more captivating as it looked like I was watching a ice dance show instead of a competitor in a competition.

Hey pals, I'm not here to start a discussion about who is whose favourite skater... I think Evgenia is great, but I am still captivated by Yuna's exquisiteness, after three years of not having seen her skate. Yuna had this uncanny ability to draw you into the music and to respond to every note by a bodily movement of grace and beauty. Evgenia still looks a bit gawky. I'm looking forward to seeing her grow in the future.

I understand people's opinions will be different from mine and I'm not going to compare any skaters because I don't know them all, but as for the people hating on her for having a supposedly "pretentious" choreography that she doesn't do well, I don't really see it - I think it's actually a kind of beautiful choreo, and she always does it beautifully. The facial expressions aren't "cringey", they're a part of the program and as this program is dramatic in itself (not in a bad way), it makes sense for her facial expressions to be like that. (Although I will allow for the fact that sometimes she can't hide her smile at the end of this program when it's supposed to be serious.) I don't personally see why the rest of the choreographic elements are being criticised, but I suppose I should honestly say that I didn't enjoy her FS here personally as much as I've enjoyed seeing her perform it before. It seemed like she was going a bit too slow and that made it a slightly clunkier performance than normal, but after a while even that didn't really matter because it made it seem almost like she was dancing as normal but on a slightly more slick floor. In honesty, people can like that aspect or hate it, it's their choice. I kind of liked it, but I don't prefer it to a fast skate. I suppose the main reason people are hating is because her score was so high, but I'm not really qualified enough in the figure skating world to talk about that - I mean, the only skating experience I have is watching Yuri on Ice, lmao. But I hope people will express their opinions in a nicer way.

The issue is the scoring and that the same rules don't apply to her. it actually regresses the sport because if this is what is being rewarded ahead of faster skaters with better technique or better musicality or more mature interpretation then that's where the sport will go. Do we want every skating to be doing a formulaic pantomime and not being able to straighten their legs. And in the fairness of competition should the athletes who are actually the best be the ones with the rewards. if she'd finished fifth here with an honest score no one would care but that's the way it is. it saddens me because I love the sport but it's obvious it's not a sport but a sham when her name is written on the trophy before she even rocks up.

Sometimes I think that MsJubjubbird is a bit like a well-informed troll. She and I have had our run-arounds, and it became blatently clear, no matter if she denies it, that she has a major axe to grind with Eteri, Ev's coach and dishes on her constantly...She disguises that by continued complaining about what she says is unfair scoring...And like many others, believes she is a better judge than the pro judges who have been judging competitions for years upon years...Best not to pay attention to her...

WR!!!! -Wrong edge 3Lutz -3S3T not clean landings -overrate skating skills (no fast speed ,not beautiful straight line,not beautiful take off to Lutz & Flip) Why why why!!!! Technical specialist not focus on "Perfect Execution" why!!!!

She got an edge call on the Lutz, 3S was clean, but the 3T had rough landing. Also, some of those jumps that you are complaining about are coming from footwork so I don't know what the hell you are talking about them not being beautiful. I like people like you who think they are judges lol You just sound stupid.

PJ ChJ That's exactly what it is, an opinion, not a fact. Apparently, the judges had different opinions, and that 3T after the axel didn't count, she just did it because she can put 3T after any jump, because she is that awesome. By the way, having a rough or unclean landing doesn't nullify the jump, an under rotated jump does take away points, but rough just lowers you GOE, and she didn't have under rotated jumps. Just saying. OK!!!!

So true she does a full revolution before she even leaves the ice, thats why her jumps are so small and sad. She has taken the under rotating and moved it to the takeoff instead of the landing.

HER PERFORMANCE DOES NOT DESERVE WORLD RECORD. shes the first world record owner who cant do tripe flip. and the figure field is getting even more corrupted... it's impossible to find sportsmanship in this field. impossible, not difficult. the latest example is sotnicova, the sochi olympics gold medalist (what a shame to describe her as "gold medalist"). I can tell she's great but she doesn't have enough technique and expression to compare herself with yuna kim. she has too much pride compared to what she really owns. this is what most figure geeks, like me, who have been loving figure staking for long time so have very good technical eyes, think.

Fuckin goddamit guys i'm trying to watch skating and all of a sudden these angry people are commenting stuff like 'stop being so jealous of Evgenia, Yuna is over now' and 'these butt-hurt Yuna fans are hating on Evgenia for no reason'. Well, aren't we all being fucking hypocrites by saying stuff like 'don't be so rude' but then bring other skaters into this comment section and diss them for no absolute reason? If you're praising Evgenia, that's a good thing but you don't need to be so rude to other skaters while you're praising her. Also, I feel like some Evgenia fans always take nationality into this matter. Why does it matter if we're Korean? Not all Yuna fans are Korean people, yet you guys continue to call us butt-hurt Koreans. Also, as a fan of Yuna, our 'fandom' needs to calm down. Guys, lets just stop all this commotion. Because of all the bitching that we're doing (especially to Evgenia), people keep saying that Yuna fans and Korean people are stupid and butt hurt. I don't know about you, but I don't want to be labelled as a butt hurt Korean Yuna fan. Pleasel no. Also, while Yuna is elegant, Evgenia expresses herself differently. We don't need to go into a heated debate over who is better every fucking time on these videos. Let's just appreciate the skating in front of us and not argue. Like I respect Evgenia and don't talk trash about her, but the thing is i prefer Yuna more. But the other Yuna fans are being so fucking rude, so then Evgenia fans get mad and trash talk Yuna. Its important for everyone to know that there will always be hate no matter what, so we need to know how to response to it. Also, because our fandom is always bringing Yuna to every topic, there's unnecessary additional hate aimed at Yuna, so i'm trying to prevent that from happening by stating what kind of action is considered being wrong. She's a great athlete that currently shows great technical ability and superiority in the sport (damn that power, strength and endurance...she could do triples for days maybe even a quad if she wants to and practices) and her body movements are actually aesthetically pleasing but her programs comes out as artistically pretentious and cringy because of the stupid miming...i hope she changes her choreos next season...she doesn't even have the artistic ability to express the emotions, passion and stories of her programs in a bevielable and profound manner yet...all she does are these fake, exagerated, facial expressions which lacks passions, and believability-another cringe factor...better to just give her upbeat musics and hiigh energetic choreos if she's just gonna "smile" and "smirk" during a piece like that...

It is not just the best at the moment. It is a different technical level than Kim Yu-Na. It develops the world figure skating. Her other music, it does not only in training but also in the official competition more and more difficult stages, constantly improvising, adding the triple jump where she wants. Andrey Kim It's really not on another level. Tight landings, wonky arm always above her head, pre-rotated jumps and questionable edge on her "lutzes." The only current skater who's approaching another level with regards to jumps is Alina Zagitova. She's breaking all kinds of records.

I hadn't heard of Medvedeva or Yuna Kim until today and now I have watched them both. Yuna is an amazing skater like the great ones from before, perhaps even better than them. Compared to Medvedeva though.. I have never seen anything like it. The other skaters look like focused athletes, while she has turned a sport into an artform and she is an artist out of this world. It is beautiful in a way I have never seen anything on the ice. It is incomparable in it's own magic how she floats and what she expresses. If a footballer scored 10 goals every game and won the world cup with Norway, 17-0 against the germans in the final, that player would be on a similar lever to how I see this ice skater. I will not even compare her to others, she is in something of her own where there is no competition.

Along with Ashley, Ev is changing the face of ladies skating, and to be fair a couple of others...Making the routines more difficult and the performances more relevant...Such as this one for example...In Yuna's time and before all ladies were nearly required to be nothing more or less than 'ice princesses' floating all over the ice with minimal jumps and long boring spirals...Yuna had her time, but although I admit to not having seen most her performances, if just based alone on her WR Olympic score, the performance and tech would be equal to any skater at the Senior level now...In fact, all of the top 5 Russians could meet or beat her Olympic routine...As do all of the top 5 American skaters...Just look at the performance...For Yuna to get her Olympic sore now she would have to be massively over-scored... Ev is by far the most balanced of Performance and Tech of any lady I have ever seen...It is just so amazing, in the last GP her scores were only off by .02...She is only 17 and will only continue to improve, such as her developing the Rippon and a quad Sal, which should be ready by the Olys...In the Russian Nationals she did a TT TT TT, although the last didn't count...And skaters are not only graded on their jumps, they are also graded on their footwork, on which she excels... It isn't too much of a stretch to imagine her becoming a legend in ladies skating...

This kid has such incredible technical abilities AND raw creativity, but I can't help but feel disappointed by the lackluster step sequences here. JUMPS ARE NOT EVERYTHING. I just wish that her choreography had more depth so that the audience could truly be immersed in the story that she's trying to present.

First: Sorry, but I don't speak english very well, this is not my language... Ok? Okay... I don't understand why Evgenia gets so much hate, and most of it all comes from fans of the sports legends who undoubtedly are not at all bothered by the rise of Medvedeva ... Her programs are pure strategy ... In this new judge system what matters is the way the skater connects one element with another, his stability in his presentations, the interpretation, the strength resistance of him during the presentation ... I don't bem saying that other skaters don't shows this, but Evgenia Is the highlight of the moment and therefore receives such high marks, just as Yuna received the best marks during her period of activity ... Evgenia goes beyond what other skaters currently have ... Besides it, only a few Russian skaters and Others very few athletes across the world perform with most of their program jumps with their arms above their head, she and Alina Zagitova were the only ones this season with the three jumping passes in the second half of the program ... I don't know If everyone knows about it, but jumping in the second half gives 10% bonus, meaning a triple Flip equals the base value of a triple Lutz, that's the reason she does not run Lutz since she has the wrong Edge , and Ritberguer equals the Flip ... Yulia Lipnitiskaya had the same coach and her programs were much lower, Lutz with wrong Edge, Flip with Free leg, and Axel only with the body propelled forward ... She is just about the spins ... and she does not get as much hate as Evgenia gets, and she is an Olympic team Champion. Please, stop hating her or sign up to be ISU judges, bye ...

I'm yuna kim fans. But I'm not korean person (I'm Thai ) I don't hurt to everyone break her WR (228.56 point in 2010) because, she successful in her carrer ,she finished every podium in her races and she retirement 3 years earlier . I comment in Medvedeva video ,because I mean she's technical of the jumps something not clean (3Lutz,3T) and something elements in PCS overrate I don't hate her ,but I feel ugly to ISU organization and now judging system.

Yuna can't do very difficult arm overhead jump. She can't even do triple loop. Yuna is so slow across the ice.

Yes she can do a arm overhead jump, wtf are you talking about? Also, Yuna is very fast on the ice, she goes into her jumps with a lot of speed whereas other skaters tend to skate slowly into a jump. Also, it's not that she can't do a triple loop, its just that she had an injury and prefers not to do it.

when I watched Yuna Kim, I was really touched and it was very impressed :)I don't know about figure skating well but when I watched medvedeva, she may have good skills but it doesn't impress me and she cannot compare to yuna. though she breaks Yuna Kim's score, Yuna is the eternal queen for me.
