In this video, I talk about some of the smart key features of the 2017 Honda CR-V. The smart key allows you to easily enter and exit the vehicle. It allows you to unlock the doors by simply grabbing the door handle, open the trunk by walking up to it and pressing the button on the trunk, and it even automatically locks the doors when you walk away from the CR-V (if you have the feature turned on). Overall, it is an awesome smart key that is packed with features.

I always walk away so the car lock itself . Now I know that even staying near the car it will lock itself. Thank you for the advice to maximinras.

Good video. But what dose that NARROW LITTLE button that has HOLD on it that's between remote start and rear hatch button ? I can't find anything on it. 🤔🤔

Dont know if you knew yet, on mine if i press the lock on the handle twice , the side view mirror will fold down.

Not mine. I have a 2018 CRV-ELX and mirrors are manual - no go with your trick. I'm in the US

@Channel?R I thought I was supposed to get the heated steering wheel as well as the gully they wipers rest in being heated. Didn't get either.

How do you turn on the feature for it to lock when you walk away?

make sure your engine is on when you are about to turn this feature on. First turn on your engine, you choose setting menu then vehicle; you will need to keep on pressing the down button until you see walk away auto lock feature then simply turn it on that is it. When you walk away around 10 feet, it will lock for you all doors. However, you don't even walk away just stay there it will also lock for you. That is it. Enjoy.

@shortway444 do you know how to turn on feature where I press the lock button and the car makes a soft beep from its horn.? It is a possibility that Honda doesn't off that..

You have to set it up .. one of the thing I realize, from time to time it will not do it.. it will beep as if you forgot to turn the car off

Hi, I changed Honda crv re4 driver's door and now is not sensing the key while I hold the door handle to open like it is used to be.. Please help

Walk away door lock is a gimmic feature. Its not 100% guaranteed to lock everytime. Therefore, you often have to second guess yourself and lock the doors manually which defeats tge whole purpose of "walk away".

It doesn't lock if you had the truck unlocked but it also beeps about 3 rapid beeps letting you know.

While using google maps (android auto) does it show directions on the speedometer gauge/instrument cluster?

On my key fob if you push the unlock button twice and hold it down the second time all the windows and the sunroof open without any notification or warning and no system in place to disable it in weather such as rain, sleet, or snow so your car can fill up with rain if your cat jumps onto your lap.
