I've only had my 2017 gt since March 2020 and the gearbox failed at 9000 miles using the quick shifter going up into 6th gear. Even though it was out of warranty ktm supplied the parts as a good will gesture and I covered the labour costs. Hasn't put me off owning the bike though I absolutely love it! 😁👍🏻

I've had my GT since June 2017. I have ridden it around Australian (11,000 miles). I think it's an awesome bike. I just ordered the convex mirrors you suggested.

Yes, you’ve made serious improvements. I agree , that this bike is something special! I love mine, each day I ride it, I like it more. I have two other bikes but this one is by far my favorite and I’m always looking forward for the next ride with it. I’ve ridden the bike in every weather conditions and in the opposite of the other two The Super Duke 1290 GT is so solid and stable that it is always a pleasure to ride . And that’s rare.

Great vid hanks. I have a 2016 GT, and had MTC failure issues when I changed my battery and the KTM had to reset the fault. Glad I now know how to get rid of the exhaust servo valve without getting a MTC failure error (limp mode) as I had a aftermarket pipe fitted with a decat link pipe and had the MTC failure as well. Then reinstalled the cat and problem was solved but I now still sit with the link pipe and I want to do the decat.

Try the Metzler 01SE tyres! They have transformed the gt for me, I hated all the suspension modes and could never find the right set up until now.
