Can you tell me, how to play music from car's USB, or SD card and use Android Auto - mainly navigation - waze/google maps, in parallel? I can not switch to Media menu in E classe (W213) when AA is running, withou closing AA. Any suggestion?

I have e300 17 , and it's such a shame that this "andriod auto " logo takes half of the screen , why Google , make option to remove it and utilitilisy full screen

John Sunders - agreed, clearly AA is currently optimised for smaller screens. Google need to address this.

Looking to buy a 2018 E400 coupe. Looks like this video is with an '18 e-class. It seems that the USB port is inside the central console cup holder location. It looks like the door can't be closed when the USB cable is connected. Anyone know if this is true? Seems unsightly to have a wire and phone dangling inside the cabin with that huge door open. I hope I'm wrong and the phone and USB connection can be hidden with that door closed.

Confirmed it closes. you need a short usb so you can put it in the little wireless charging dock. However there are 2 USB ports in the center console that they should of allowed you to interface with.

I have an 2017 e300 and got an ottocast Dongle. It will make Android auto wireless and Fullscreen. Thank me later 😁.

Hi, Android Auto does not work on 2018 eclass with ntg 5.5 audio 20 12.3" screen. The car has the phone icon USB in the centre consul. Any ideas to get it working. I asked the local dealer and he said Android Auto was not installed but didn't seem too interested. I have checked the connection menu on the screen and it does not show android auto. And I checked mercedes aps and nothing their either. My phone has c connection. The reason I want android auto is that the map is outdated and the dealer said a new card is about 400.

Click connect (it has a mercedes logo) in the console, then select connect automatically

mine doesen't say carplay or android auto but it shows "mercedes link" can I still connect with android auto? it says that it can't start

Dealer informed android auto is an option when car is purchased new. If not installed when new a new very expensive upgrade is involved. Without it the usb will not connot connect android auto on your phone or any of those android boxes to the screen even when the USB has the phone icon. I would be interested if anyone has a solution.
