i went to Germany to visit friends many years ago for Oktoberfest. We stayed a week. We were supposed to tour Germany and spend one day at Oktoberfest but we spent most of the week there. We did Mike's Bike Tour and saw that Neuf---- Knuef-----stein ---- that castle that Disney's modeled after - I can't pronounce it :) ------ but wow that was an awesome time. Prost!

Small dream of mine but major bucket list item is about to be crossed off the list. My fiance and I are traveling to Europe and are stopping in Munich for 2 days (arrive 9/28 @ 9pm - depart 9/30 @ 8pm) before departing for Amsterdam. It is pretty much our party leg of the trip. I see a lot of recommendations for Hofbräu as it is one of the larger tents. 1) What is the best strategy and tent to target if you are trying to have a great party experience with great food? 2) Also, we are backpacking so space in our packs are limited and we must forgo the traditional Bavarian garbs. Will that alienate us and effect the way we are treated negatively? Great site packed with knowledge. Many thanks in advance, Bobby
