A brief history of Subaru Impreza WRC (World Rally Car) chassis number PRO/WRC/97001 - which was campaigned in rallies all over Europe for 10 years before being restored by it's original builders, Prodrive, in 2009. The car was shown at the Autosport International Show in 2017. The car was originally registered as P555 WRC, but was reregistered in 1998 as P18 WRC. #throttlejam

Hello! You made some mistakes in your video. From the beginning chassis #001 has numberplates "P555 WRC". After the first tests in 1996 it was sold to Russian driver Sergey Uspenskiy. He took part in 1998 Russian Rally Championship with this car. Car of De Mevius - different chassis with numberplates "P18 WRC". In 1999 Uspenskiy sell #001 to Procar and got chassis #20. After selling #001 got numberplates "P18 WRC".

Italy knows well the P18 WRC Impreza, because it was bought by Procar to be raced in 1999 by Diego Oldrati, and in the same year in the Rally of Monza (More a VIP meeting than a real rally), P18WRC was driven by Valentino Rossi. Just one thing: you say that in Montecarlo 97 the chassis number 3 and 4 were raced. Are you sure about that? I always knew that the n.2 and n.3 chassis were raced, as said in various magazines at that time...

Hey Snarl616, thanks for getting in touch. As far as I know, Chassis #2 was P982 YWL and was also a testing/development car. It later became P200 ALL. Chassis #2 and #3 were P2 WRC and P3 WRC. I'm happy to be corrected on this if you know something else.

​@@throttlejam6379 You're right. number platers were P2 and P3, but the chassis numbers were respectively #3 and #4, so the first two chassis were test cars. In Italy we know the P200ALL car well too. It was raced by Gianfranco Cunico in 1999 and 2000. I don't know where is that car now.
