My XL does it in 5.0 seconds with only adding a $150 flashpaq programmer off eBay. Next will be twin 3in turbo back exhausts then come the K04 upgrades. That should get it to 4.0 seconds and based on my experiences with my 2000 1.8T Passat which had 295ft lbs at the rear wheels on a K04 with K16 compressor wheel(taken fom 996 K16s that were upgraded to K18 compressor wheels for almost no lag), 600ft lbs+ at the whels should be no problem with todays direct injection. Im expecting 650ft lbs. The K16 compressor wheels on the otherwise stock K04 turbo had cooler air at +200mgh 100rpm earlier, but I still think an intercooler with more frontal area and larger combined cross section might be good for another 50ft lbs, but more importantly, better trailering. 😃. So excited about this awesome engine.
