7 жыл бұрынA weekend to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the opening of the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway was held with all available locomotives in traffic and a timetable recreating some highlights of the past, culminating in a mass gathering of locomotives in Romney shed yard

Oh goooooooooood that whistle up did something to me. Wow! I was there aswell but only had my mobile to video with, so disapointed I missed the whistle up :( Cracking video mate, super jealous.

That last part of the video makes me think of Thomas and Friends, where when they celebrate, they blow their whistles all at once.

Fabulous, yet another place to put on the list when next in the UK, delighted (but perplexed) that these beautiful 1/3rd scale locos have such wonderful whistles compared to the pissy little insipid things on the main line steam in the UK.

The whistle sounds like one of the narrow gauge engines from Thomas and friends, I wonder if this railway is where they recorded the sound for it?

More than likely, it's certainly the longest in the UK although some in the US may be longer

Yes, or at least the casing for it. The casing was built to fit no.5 Hercules, which is the red 4-8-2 running in the video

At 5:00 and 6:00 are those American style engine dressed up to look british?

Yes, there are two engines on the line designed to look like Canadian locomotives from the 1920s (when these were built)
