He was a good guy and a good player. When I threw him the first time he didn't expect a little guy to do that. And I did land on his ribs when he pulled me down.

In judo one throw equals a win. In shuai jiao it's a point spread. So whereas no one wants to fall, one big throw doesn't mean you don't have to keep trying. So basically you need to stay agressive

@@ShuaijiaoNYC Thanks, but it appears that the take down itself, regardless of point system, is easier than in judo.

@@pastlast158 there are many techniques in Shuai Jiao. Many are the same or similar in Judo. Some are completely different. As an example…Hip throws, shoulder throws, tai otoshi/leg blocking, leg reaping, etc can be found in both arts. You have less material so big turning throws can be done but it all depends on the player. I myself prefer the path of least resistance. Big throws are beautiful to look at but simple is most effective. Although bigger throws get more points, the smaller throws still accumulate quickly.
