"What do you do during quarantine?" Me: "Obsessively watching ice dancing." These two are so beautiful and no one looks like them. It's such a contrast with V/M. I love them both.

Whenever I see the twizzles in this and hear the music in the background, it makes me think of the clock running, time flowing, the pace of life. I wonder if that's what they wanted to portray, because the image is so vivid. Brilliant.

Just before this, Guillaume said ' We want to go boldly forward and create works of art...'. Sometimes that's all they do: create magical 'works of Art's (there does not have to be a storyline). This Free Dance had the most iterations of all; I preferred the one at Europeans, where she is perched on his knee at the end.

I think there should be 2 different categories in ice dancing: hollyday on ice dancing (V/M) and ballet dancing P/C).

Saw this live in the crowd. I’m into all kinds of sports but damn. Figure skating is probably the one that translates best when watching live. If you’ve ever got the chance to go watch some skating, go do it. Oh, not to mention my wife walked down to aisle to the second song on here (Happiness Does Not Wait by Olafur Arnalds). Annoyingly the only other time I’ve seen Papadakis and Cizeron live was at the 2020 Europeans where they also came second. Sod’s law I’ve never seen my favourite win eh?

While I know this is a “sport”, for me, what P/C do transcends sport and enters the realm of art and pure emotion. Like listening to a favorite song or watching a favorite movie, I find myself returning to their programs, when seeking comfort and beauty.

I so agree with your comments about watching figure skating live... I had the privilege of seeing a few competitions live, including seeing these two magnificent beings at 2016 Europeans, and it was always magical. There's a special emotional energy in the audience, especially when you see something as exquisite as this programme. And trust me, Gabi & Guillaume are SOMETHING else, both, live and on screen...❤

Beautiful, mesmerizing, artistic. Love them. However, Virtue and Moir are the greatest ice dance pair of all-time. Their intensity, range, and skating skills are unmatched.
