It's probably not the place for that discussion, but don't you think it's a Patrick Chan syndrome? He always ensured spots so the rest of the boys were at ease that at least one of them will be able to go for Worlds or Olympics. Look what happened at last Words. Nam (he is 1.8 by the way, so I don't see terms under he can be called "short") didn't make it to the FS while Keegan got quite nice place. What's the good news: there's a chance for Canadian men to come back to the top in some two-three years time, with a new generation of skaters born in this millenium. Joseph Phan, Conrad Orzel and Stephen Gogolev are the most promising of them.
