2018 Honda Accord: Infotainment Unit Froze and would not restart until I pulled over and restarted the car.

hey on your other video about the traction problems and mitigation problems. you said you didnt think theyd fix it on2019 or 2020.. they didnt i got a 2020 theyre saying its throwing all the same codes from ur most recent. sucks

On my 2022 honda accord lx for the last 2 years my radio is having issues and the dealer still haven't found the problem. The radio turns on by itself, the radio switches from am to fm by itself, the radio says is looking for a device to connect to even though i have my bluetooth settings to off on the radio and on my phone so why the heck is it still searching for a device to connect to if the bluetooth is off??? Then the radio starts flicking and going crazy from am, to fm, to connect a device display, to turning off and then turning on by itself, is like is freaking possess!! I already reset the radio back to factory and the problem still persist. I disconnected the battery cables and touch the positive and negative cable to erase any memory remaining in the computer and still having issues, the radio has been replaced, the radio antenna has been replaced, and now honda tells me, sorry there is nothing more they can do even though my car is still under the manufacturer warranty. I am never ever buying a freaking honda again!! I feel like trading this piece of garbage and getting something else!!!

Unfortunately it means fuck all to have a warranty and video proof of the Infotainment problems if your dealership cant "replicate the problem" you may as well have no warranty at all because its useless.

Its sad you decided to disable commends on many of your new videos. Glitches with driver assist issues comes from firmware problems, dealer has to update that. I used to have this issue, it was fully resolved with firmware update. Honda has official repair posted. Infotainment system problems can come from phone compatibility and not from infotainment system itself. This means your phone may have software or hardware issues that cause the car to run in to issues. I always connect my phone physically by wire and do not use bluetooth, and have not had any issues. Bluetooth is not a reliable way to stream audio, its a fact of life, headsets loose connection all the time and have to be restarted, cars have same issues. I do not think that Honda makes its infotainment systems, they are made by few companies and sold to car makers. It is not a Honda specific problem. I have seen Volvo, Toyota, Lexus and Mercedes infotainment systems freeze during bluetooth playback, it is an inherent issue. This maybe useful - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fLt6n8d3rJiydYE.html

What's sad is Honda Case Manager lying to me that the CMBS (Collision Mitigation Breaking System) would not have issues again. Still does. Still no fix. Still faulty Radar Sensor. Still waiting for the firmware fixes to all of the above and the infotainment unit and the auxiliary display freaking out in audio mode. The reason for disabling comments is that I don't have time to respond to every person who does not have to deal with with a lemon. I am glad that Honda has official repair posted (there was no fix for anything when I was at the dealer about a month ago), after having ignored customers asking to pay attention to the issue for months. Again, Tesla simply pushes the fix OTA. Honda can't even figure that out. Subaru has been very proactive in addressing issues as well. Honda - not so much. @@idrivealawnmower301 Honda does update their interface over the air same as Tesla but you would need internet connection. They issued an update few weeks a go and there were changes to the interface. You can go in the menu and download updates. Sensor firmware is not updated over the air and has to be done by dealer. If something fails during the process sensor would be dead. My radar issue disappeared after firmware update, and car became much better at keeping lane as well. Dealer also stated left front speed sensor was faulty and they replaced. You should keep the comments on so people can offer a solution if one exists. You do not get thousands of comments, you will not get flooded. people want to help if they can. Was radar sensor firmware update done?

Is your car under warranty? Do you feel this problem is also with other models or just the Accord 2.0L?

While the car is under warranty, having gone to the dealer multiple times for different issue, it become a frustration as I don't have the time to waste on this anymore. Honda Odysseys (2018) have the same infotainment unit and similar Radar Sensor. So do the Honda Pilots. A lot of the components are shared, so, I would imagine they do have similar problems. The response of Honda has been appalling. Plus, a Honda mechanic told me that now Honda "field tests" the vehicles on customers while the dealers are having to deal with the frustration and trying to figure out how to fix the quirks that did not used to be so much of a problem. As much time as you have spent posting videos on your lemon. You could of gone out and got another car. I don't disagree you have a lot of issues and that is not normal for Hondas. I would say look at another brand and best of luck.

Go buy another car if you can’t use Honda that simple . Only you complaining here like a child . Ever car system hangs or freezes once in awhile even the best . It sometimes reboots and for the safety stuff you clearly can’t even use a car smh sometimes fog or snow blocks sensor it tells you all safety feature is failing durhhhhh !! Like common knowledge even my Mazda does that just clean the know off or get fog out of radar cameras they are not 100 perfect no machine is
