Very useful, thank you! I got the same doomsday error messages flashing when I first started the car after coming back from vacation. After watching your video, I drove it for about 4 miles, stopped and restarted the car but the same errors came up. Then I drove the last mile home, where I turned the car off. I started it again, just on a whim, and everything had reset, no error messages. Woohoo!

Here is probably the biggest tip of all.... when these random messages flash on the dash for no reason, it's also a sign that your battery is dying out believe it or not.

I just called my dealer and said the battery was dead and need it a new one when i just barely got the car a few months ago and said warranty didn't cover it. Thank you so much this worked alot better than the dealership

I've notice all newer hondas do this crap when they lose power for whatever reason. Either errors or system is initializing message. Driving around does fix em like you said.

Thank you so much for posting your video/information. It helped our 2017 Accord hybrid. The battery died due to 3 months of not driving. We jump started the car and it drove fine for about 30 minutes. After parking the car for about 5 hours we start up the car and got a bunch of errors. Drove it home and the LKAS and the brake warning error lights stay on. Parked the car and did some research and found your video describing similar symptoms. Start up the car and run for about 1/2 mile and while running the errors went away. Stopped the car and turn off the ignition. Waited about 30 seconds, restarted the car and the error codes/messages are not showing up anymore. Was worrying have to take the car into the dealership ($$$). But your video save our day/$$$!!!THANK YOU!

I also had that happen after trying to hook up my svcm tuner, but I hear that sometimes it needs 10+ cycles for it to clear. What are your thoughts on pulling the ECU fuse, I hear wait 15 minutes then place the fuse back?

Another thank you! My son has a 2021 Accord, barely a year old. It had a bunch of error messages appear on the dash a few months ago. Figured it was just a bad module or similar so took it to the dealer to have it presumably repaired under warranty. Sadly, rodents had gotten under the hood and chewed through three wires, which caused all the error messages. $300 later, the dealer had repaired the wires and all was good. Fast forward to a few days ago, the same messages appeared and yes, rodents had chewed through the same wires. I'm capable of repairing severed wires, so I fixed them myself but was sad to see the error codes still there, argh. After following the procedure in this video all is good again. Thanks again!

I had my spark plug changed at the dealer, and the sensors said the 1 & 4 were malfunctioning so I changed all 4. The scanner was put on to check the sensors and those appeared, all my sensors are on and won’t turn off after turning the car on and off. What else can I do?

This happened to me also when the battery on my 2018 accord died and had it replaced. I was about to make an appointment in the dealer but when I drove for a mile or 2 the error codes doesn’t show anymore.

Hi.. do you think this resolves the code error issues when the car wont turn on at all? Sometimes the brake is locked so i cant even press it to push to start... other times i CAN press the brake but the car doesnt start up. The times that it does , there are lights, and the errors, and the HondaLink music plays etc.... Thoughts ?

Yeah my does it every single day and only at night time though. And also I lose power to accelerate at times so I have to keep punching the gas pedal, hopefully it’s the same problem

Thanks for the video. I actually encountered that with my honda civic 2016 when i was installing my aftermarket fog lights. It shows all the error codes like what you are talking about. So yes i drove to get something to eat then when i went back to start my car all the errors codes reset itself. Cool video though...

I had auto zone change my battery today due to having a little slower start lately. The car starts fine and then shuts off immediately. We can not get the car to stay on.they think its a security thing. I get error messages, the radio will not come in and my key fab does not work as far as locking or unlocking. I didn't disconnect my battery. But when I came outside to try and open my trunk with the keyfob it didn't work. Then I tried the trunk button in the car. Didnt work. Then I turned the car on. Got all these lights and they won't go away! Drove over a mile to work! Still didn't go away! Oh yea back up cam didn't work either. It just happened very randomly. What do I do about that?

Had this problem also. I also disconnected battery for a few min. The errors erased after about 100 yards of driving.

This makes no sense at all to me. I had almost every warning on my dash you could have on a 2019 Honda Accord. Sometimes they would stay on days. I changed the battery in my key fob and they all went away. I don’t understand but it fixed mine

I have a 2020 accord sport and I got the codes cleared from autozone but it randomly comes back on every few days now . My battery is good. I got it checked and i never replaced it. I should still be in warranty but the dealership wants $150 for a diagnostic test. I also hav a recall for a fuel tank. Could this be the issue?

Hey man, I got some different problems with my accord 1.5 sports 2019 model. It’s showing some break assist problem, uphill assist problem etc kind of stuff. Even my car is not getting started with the push button but getting start with the remote. Battery is good, break switch is good. I don’t know what’s the problem. Also check your battery terminals. My negative terminal was barely loose and all of these things kicked on. I tightened it, drove 5 miles and the car calibrated itself. Edit: I drove 5 miles, turned the car off for 5 minutes, then when I restarted it, everything was back to normal.

Never unhooked my battery but was driving it and it all the sudden all the errors came up. Turned it off and back on still had error codes. Turned it off for about 10 minutes and errors were gone. Updated the software just to be safe. Then after driving for a little all the errors came back. Didn't notice anything performance/braking etc. But I'm looking for possible solutions.
