2018-2022 Freightliner Cascadia Headlight fix

If you have a 2018-2022 new gen body style Cascadia and the daytime running light went which is your turn signal as well. This is a relatively cheap fix. About $161 bucks. These go out a lot more often then one would think. I hope this helps. It’s a simple & easy fix.
Part# 66-01405-030
Do not get scammed. You can get it from any Freightliner. If they try and sell you an entire assembly it’s a SCAM and not true. You just have to purchase this part. It’s replaceable for a reason!

This guy is right, thats the part number as described. Many freightliner dealerships dont have the part, but keep calliny and you will find it. It costs around $200! I found mine

Both of my dash light running light are currently dim and the turning signal does not work on them. I'm guessing try replacing both of the modules first?

@nikolaveskovic3910 yes, I bought new headlamps from the dealer. The OEM headlamps come with modules on them so no need to buy modules separately. $767.00 for 1 headlamp at the dealer.

I just changed mine for the second time it was the passanger turn signal everything worked fine ,second time it blew now passanger turn signal and passanger daytime running don't work even after I changed it I'm trying to look for the fuse for it can't make out witch one it is can anyone help plz thank u

I got the same problem with my casacadia but the lights is dim so is turn signal any chance I can do anything to make it go bright again? I haven't touched anything because I looked and saw it was a set up I'm unfamiliar with and don't want to make things worse. Also can you tell me what that part name is you replaced and where you found it? I'd appreciate it thanks

It’s the part I was showing In the video. The LEDs are starting to go out. Just get this part. Install and you’ll be back in business!

You can change the low beam or high beam bulbs on an all in one enclosed headlight like this

These new trucks are a pain in the rear!! Get an aftermarket headlights assembly & save the headache. I had a 2014 FL, and it was a consistent problem

I looked into them. They are about the same price but they have to be an all in one with one power source. Freightliner said to change out the harnesses and reprogram would just cost more. But I agree. They are a complete pain

The part is from Freightliner. They try to sell you the entire assembly but they sale just the part. You can also google the part number and find it elsewhere

Freightliner South Dallas. They have gone through 8 or 9 redesigns but that video was also made almost a year and a half ago. Prices have gone up on everything so I’m not shocked by the price you gave but not all Freightliners charge the same parts just fyi. I also own a carrier so I have an account and I do get a discount. When I gave the price in the video that was without a discount applied. I called 2 freightliners in different parts of the country yesterday after reading your question. The first had it for $230+tax and the 2nd had it for 275+tax. But 325 is a whole lot cheaper then 1200-1300 plus tax for one OEM headlight. Thanks for the question.

I bought the small Module for $141 And that's what I needed to fix my turn signal and the running white light on the right side it's cheaper than buying a new headlight which is $1000

Take the headlight out replace the module which I showed in the video, then put the headlight back in. If you want a step by step video I can do that but it’s very simple.

Both my turns signals are doing this, dim when on and not flashing, do I need to replace this one in each side of head light or just driver side. I find it hard that they both went bad at same time?

If they are dim it’s most likely a voltage problem in the wiring harness on the truck side I’m tackling this right now. Did you get this problem resolved if so what was the problem?

If you have a all in one headlight your right you can’t replace the bulbs individually exceptThis part is the running light and turn signal light.

Directly from Freightliner. Part # 66-01405-030 They are just trying to make you pay for an entire assembly. Don’t get scammed by them

Hey brother I'm having and issue were the DRL IS working but the blinker is really dim and not blinking any ideas , it lights up orange but really dim with no blinking

It’s the part that I replaced and the updated part number is in the description. That part serves a couple of purposes. Not only the LEDs but it also is the function for the turn signals. If you replace that and it doesn’t fix your issue it’s going to be the harness connector. But 9 out of 10 times it’s that part I showed how to replace.

Hey brother I replaced the module on the back for the blinker like you said it worked fixed the problem, but it only lasted 2 months and blew again, and I also noticed when I replaced it the first time the back of the headlight where the module sits in place it was slightly melted

Hey buddy. Sorry for the delay. So they keep updating that part. Since I purchased it I believe they have updated it 3 times. I actually had mine for two or so months and it went out on me and they said it would take a few days to get the updated one in so I just purchased a after market headlight to keep rolling and I just haven’t went and got the new updated part to reinstall it on the old headlight. I’m not paying $1200 for an oem headlight lol. So I have a spare if need be. The old version that I had originally got was part of the last batch before the update. Seems to be a heating issue from what I’m being told between the part and the harness. I honestly think the QC just doesn’t matter anymore. Look into getting the new updated one that I posted. And if you have good luck with it. Post again and let us know.

These trucks are completely trash. The company I work for bought 40 of them in 2019. Been nothing but trouble since day one. And a real nightmare now they are all approaching 700,000km. They will be updating the fleet and will definitely not be going with crappy overpriced cascadia's

All truck makes have their issues and design flaws. IMO after owning several, Cascadia’s are cheaper and easier to maintain. Emissions are the issue with them. My dream truck is a KW W900L
